Job experience sharing: I even slammed into Microsoft!

In October, the annual campus recruitment plan for multinational companies began. The National Day holiday is a good time for self-cultivation for those who are interested in entering the first-class company through campus recruitment. Four years ago, Mr. T attended the Microsoft Campus Recruitment Conference as a graduate of a regular university. He even went to the 9th level within 6 hours and finally entered Microsoft. His experience and experience, it is worthwhile for the new graduates to carefully recollect the National Day holiday to learn from it... The lecture: I was squeezed to the podium next to the high school, the city focus, the college entrance examination, the dysfunction, a test General university. But I am not discouraged, determined to enter the first-class company after graduation. During my school year, I received a school-level scholarship every year, and my English scores were also outstanding. I won the third prize in the National College English Contest and the TOEFL scored 600 points. There are already 2 foreign companies' offers, but I still look at Microsoft -- before I got the MCSE Microsoft Certified System Engineer certificate with high gold content. In June 2000, I saw on the school bulletin board that after the Microsoft Asia Technology Center held a campus recruitment meeting at Fudan University on this day, I was ready to apply. Because I often participate in various high-level competitions and exams, and often achieve good results, I am confident that I don't feel that I am inferior to key university students. In the afternoon of the same day, when I arrived at the first teaching building of Fudan University, the large classroom where the propaganda was held was already crowded. I just squeezed into the classroom door. At 2 pm, the presentation began formally. First introduced by the Microsoft Personnel Manager, followed by two Microsoft employees to represent the body, and finally Tang Jun, who was the general manager of the Asian Technology Center, gave an English speech. After the start of the seminar, there were still many people rushing in. I was pushed by the people from the door to the side of the podium. Just a few steps away from Tang Jun who was speaking on the stage, I could see it at close range. His demeanor. When Tang Jun’s speech was graceful and eloquent, the response was quite strong. At 4 pm, the presentation ended. Written test level 1: I want to go out to breathe fresh air early. I filled out the position of technical support—considering that my major is automatic control, there is no advantage in doing research and development, and my personality is outgoing, enthusiastic, and likes to communicate and deal with people. The first level is a written test. There are six or seven sheets of papers, which are divided into four parts: mathematics, logic, computer basics and high-tech dynamics. Most of them are filled in blank questions, and there are some questions and answers. There is no multiple choice question. The basics of mathematics, logic, and computer basics are theoretical foundations. There are many questions about the new products that Microsoft recently launched in high-tech dynamics. Because I have already visited the Microsoft website beforehand, I am very satisfied with the questions. In the one and a half hour examination time, I answered the papers in 1 hour and 15 minutes, and the speed of the delivery was ranked in the top 3. The reason for the faster delivery is that the answer is smooth, but also because there are too many candidates in the classroom, the air is a bit turbid, and I want to go out to breathe fresh air earlier. The invigilator asked me to wait in the next classroom. After 5 minutes, he read the papers and asked me to go to the other classrooms for interviews with papers, registration forms and resumes. He didn't tell me the written test scores, but I think the first pass should be passed smoothly. 4 before the interview: The stomach has already been screamed. I will accept 4 rounds of interviews with Microsoft engineers as interviewers. Several Microsoft engineers sit in a row in the classroom, and the candidates are also lined up. Each pair of interviewers and candidates are separated by a distance and there is no interference between them. These four rounds of interviews mainly refer to technical issues, each with its own focus. The first round focused on Windows Me and Windows Nt issues, the second round focused on Office issues, the third round focused on network security issues, and the fourth round focused on software programming skills. Each round usually asks 6 to 7 questions, all of which are spoken and answered. I am not allowed to write or use the pen to operate. These questions are not very difficult for me and can be answered very quickly. The four interviewers expressed satisfaction with my ability to respond. Although each round of interviews is only 10 minutes, the 4 rounds of interviews have been dragging on for a long time—the candidates are constantly coming in, the interviewers should be overwhelmed, and most of the time waiting for the next round of interviews. At the end of the 4 rounds of technical interviews, it was already 7 o'clock in the evening and the stomach had already been barked. As I walked out of the classroom, a seductive scent strongly attracted me: on the big desk at the door, there was a bunch of KFC hamburgers -- the interviewer's dinner. I looked back at the interviewer and saw that they were sitting in danger and not squinting. They were seriously interviewing and no one was concerned about eating. This scene is still unforgettable. Interviews 6 and 7: "What is the biggest shadow you have ever seen?" After three meals and two self-prepared "dry foods", I entered the sixth and seventh rounds of interviews with great energy. The 2nd and 7th interviews were guarded by two department manager-level interviewers. The sixth round of interviewers asked me to introduce myself and self-evaluate. I calmly said: "I am eager to enter Microsoft to meet the challenge! Although not a famous university, but I will prove that I am not inferior to them with my ability to work..." I highlighted my strengths: excellent English, outgoing and outgoing Strong communication skills, very suitable for technical support work. He listened quietly, sometimes interrupting my words and asking a few words. After introducing himself, he asked questions like intelligence tests. "What is the biggest shadow you have ever seen?" he asked. I replied without hesitation: "The biggest shadow I have seen is the night." He asked. "Why?" I explained: "Because the night is the shadow of the earth." He thought about it, and the dagger recognized it. The seventh round of interviewers kept asking questions. I have no work experience. He mainly asked me about the awards and exams. "TOEFL score of 600, the results are good. Is the TOEFL preparation for studying abroad?" he asked. "The purpose of the test is to examine their English level, not to study abroad." I replied. He also asked: "Why are you keen to participate in various competitions and exams?" I said: "I want to achieve good results through competitions and exams, prove my ability, and establish self-confidence." The two rounds of interviews mainly examine the candidates. Ability to express, respond and communicate. The two interviewers recognized my performance and I passed. Interview 8th: We are the most relaxed interview with Zhang Depei's Fans. The interviewer is a blond American and the interview is conducted in English. The content of the conversation is from work, study to life, and interest. He once asked me: "Howdoyoudefinesuccess?" to examine my vision and mind. Also ask me: "Tellmewhat'sthefavoritestrengthdoyouhave? Why? (Tell me what advantages do you like best and why?)" My answer is "passion!" just in line with the spirit of Microsoft's advocacy. He also acts as an irritated customer, and I simulate it as an engineer trying to appease. When talking about tennis, he mentioned Zhang Depei. He was like Zhang Depei's Fans, and he was quite happy. The American spoken language is pure and has no obstacles to communicate with the interviewer. The Americans smiled and nodded frequently. This level has passed. The last level: "Tell this phone to me in 3 minutes." I went to the 4th floor of another building and walked to the door of a closed door and gently knocked on the door. Inside, there was a "please enter" sound. I pushed the door in. I saw Tang Jun sitting behind the table. I walked over and sat down in front of him. Tang Jun began to ask questions. His problems are divided into two categories, one is technical, and the other is mainly to examine the various aspects of the candidate. In my answer, I highlighted that I have a passion for work and a strong communication skills. One question after another, I answered quickly and I feel good about myself. Suddenly, Tang Jun picked up the mobile phone on the table and handed it to me, saying, "You should be the customer, I will sell this phone to me in 3 minutes." I thought about it and picked up the phone and said, "Mr. Hello! It's a new Motorola XXX mobile phone, it has a lot of new features to make up for the lack of your current mobile phone..." After 2 minutes of "performance", I briefly explained the reasons for this promotion. "The key is to show the customer the characteristics of this phone, objectively explain what features it has more than the phone that the customer is using now..." In the interview, Tang Jun’s expression was calm, and he could not see him from his face. I answered the response. When the question is over, Tang Jun asks me: "Do you want to know the result?" I said: "Of course I think!" Tang Jun said with a smile: "Congratulations, you have been accepted by Microsoft. I will give you stock. Your monthly salary is X thousand. Yuan Renminbi." I was very surprised to hear this result, and the monthly salary was also unexpected. Tang Jun signed the big name on the registration form, and then said firmly: "My signature has legal effect!" When I said goodbye, I said: "Thank you, Teacher Tang." When I went out, I remembered: I should call him Mr. Tang. what. Candidates who have entered the final level have actually been hired. Tang Jun mainly wants to examine the candidate's words and deeds and examine his overall quality, including resilience and market awareness. The last pass lasted 20 minutes, leaving Tang Jun to see the time, it was already 10 o'clock in the evening. Starting from 4 pm, I continued to fight for 6 hours, and finally passed through 9 squadrons and successfully entered Microsoft. People come over: self-confidence is the most important. I think self-confidence is the most important. During the interview, I forgot that I was an ordinary college graduate. There is only one belief: I am first-class and will definitely be able to enter a first-class company. The mood is calm, there is no tension and anxiety, the same is true when facing Tang Jun. Other reasons are as follows: 1. Excellent English pronunciation, fast response, quick attitude, full self-expression, in line with the taste of American companies. 2. I have tested the MCSE certificate of an operating system. Microsoft is in need of technical support for this operating system. 3. The outgoing and cheerful personality conforms to Microsoft's requirements for technical support. The appearance of “sports” rather than “book-style” is also easy to win the interviewer. 4. The combat state is good for 6 hours in a row, which proves that the physical strength is good and the energy is sufficient, which meets the requirements of the work intensity of foreign enterprises. My experience proves that ordinary university graduates can enter first-class big companies as long as they have the ability and confidence.
