Job search story: 1 job search for 8 rounds of interviews

A month later, I received a call from a human resources department of G Company, hoping that I would go to the interview. I was a little surprised when I received the call. I thought that I had no chance with G, because the newspaper said: There will be feedback within two weeks after receiving the resume. Of course, I am very happy with this unexpected surprise, but I have a feeling that G company is not lacking, otherwise it will not be called after one month. I think, when they see a certain potential material, they will take it over to make a reserve -- I probably belong to this situation. Two days later I had my first interview. The female interviewer is the HR manager and the male interviewer is the Zhejiang regional sales manager. The sales manager is very busy. I have to go out in a short while. The interview is basically one-on-one with my HR manager. Many problems are commonplace, for example, introduce yourself and so on. When she asked me why I wanted to leave the current company, I said that it was actually not dissatisfied with the current work. I just hope that I have a better development. This is totally my real idea. If it wasn't for G, I didn't want to change jobs at that time. The HR manager then asked me what is your expected salary? I thought about it for a thousand yuan. I think the HR manager is very dissatisfied with my asking price, because she immediately said to me: Young people should not let income become the "bottleneck" of career development, and development is the first. I did not follow her meaning, but clearly expressed what I meant: development is very important, but it is also important to ensure a certain standard of living. At the end of the interview, the interviewer gave me a suggestion: with my experience and ability at the time, the direct sales department may not be fully competent, she suggested that I change a position --- maintenance contract. This is actually an after-sales service department. Company G is a large company with many departments and a fine division of labor. I also agree with this suggestion, so I promised to consider it. After another week or so, G Company telephoned me to inform me about the second interview. At that time, I was on a business trip in Wenzhou, and I was unable to return to Hangzhou at one time. In fact, I don't want to come back to the interview. First of all, I think that big companies like G have a good training system and reserve plans, so they generally don't like talents like small companies. I am like this. If you want to make a score, you don't know how to be high-heavy. Secondly, I feel that I have not been able to enter the medical device. The experience and contacts are not enough. Entering GE at this time may not be the best time. G company has a lot of talents, and of course they hope to recruit talents and bring benefits to the company quickly. Therefore, at that time, I was rushed into the process of being quickly eliminated, but it would be better to experience it in a small company. If you are looking for a good job, you must not be too anxious. It is very important to grasp the timing. I believe that as long as I am willing to enter the G company, there will always be opportunities. The second time: take the initiative, I joined the company G. In June 2004, I felt that the company at the time had not learned more, and the work could not make me full of passion. At this time, I really I want to change jobs. My goal remains the same, or G company. I know that companies like G can't take the initiative to come to me, then I take the initiative. I called the sales manager I met during the first interview and asked if he was free to accept my visit. He said that he is free now. I feel that there is a play and I immediately rushed over. The sales manager said that his department has no vacancies for the time being, but they will have a technical sales training program recently and ask if I am willing to consider it. The trainee has a basic salary, but there is no bonus, and there is no sales indicator within half a year. The conditions are a lot worse than before, but I still agreed, because I wanted to change jobs at that time, and the most wanted to go is the G company. The third time: a little redundant, the first time the "cold noodles" was fired two weeks later, G company also informed me to go to the interview. However, to be precise, this can only be regarded as a half-time interview, because it is still the HR manager or the sales manager. The HR manager said she remembered me and just forgot her name. I quickly introduced myself and explained again why I was unable to participate in the second time. I made up my mind and found a good impression. It is estimated that the HR manager is not willing to repeat the topics she has already asked, saying that she has nothing to ask. The sales manager also said that there is no problem. The interview ended, but I thought it was not a bad thing, because I could feel that the two interviewers thought I could move to the next round. The 4th time: I tried hard to put out the interviewer's opinion on me. After two days of success, the interview was conducted at G Company Shanghai Medical System Headquarters. That day, I deliberately wore a more conservative white dress, just a faint lipstick on my lips. The interviewer is the sales manager of the medical system Greater China. It looks very busy, so I have to wait outside for a while after arriving on time, and my mood is slowly getting nervous. However, after entering the office, the manager's first sentence dispelled my nervousness: "Sorry, I have kept you waiting." He asked me to sit down and asked me what I wanted to drink. I want Coke. The manager interview question is very specific, it is some details in the sales work, how to make a single order, how to "feel", how to collect money, and so on. I have answered them one by one. The interview is over soon. The manager said, go back, HR will inform you. I really want to know if I can enter the next round, so I am brave enough to ask: "Is it possible to hire me, the decision is right?" "I can't say whether the decision is right or not. I will only take my feelings about you truthfully. Provided to HR." I went on to ask: "What do you think is my characteristic?" The manager was very alert and replied: "Your characteristics are clearly written on your resume." I can't see anything, so I can't see anything. Leave a message. However, I did not successfully enter the G company afterwards. The fifth time: As long as it is G company, I am willing to restart. On the morning of July 8, 2004, I received a call from HR of another department of G Company, saying that I saw my resume from another department of G company. She seems very anxious and asked if I could get to Shanghai for an interview that day. I decided to rush to Shanghai that day, but I was afraid that it would be too late. Second, I was afraid that the rush would affect the interview results, so I called to change the interview to 10 am the next day. The interview questions are similar, with two interviews in English and Chinese. For example, she still asked why the job change, what is my strengths and so on. Then she hopes that I will answer in English. What is my career ideal? How to achieve your desired goals and so on. My answer is a bit awkward, but I still make it clear. I explained my "疙疙瘩瘩": it seems strange because it is used less. But I believe that as long as I practice in the English environment, my English communication should be no problem. I think this explanation is necessary because you must let the interviewer know the true level of your English. You must also let the interviewer know that you can progress through practice. Sure enough, the interviewer said very politely: "Your English ability is ok, I believe that you will improve quickly after practicing for a while." When the interviewer asked me, why would you want to enter G company? Do you know that the pressure on G company will be great? I remember that I answered this question: Company G is a desirable company. As for stress, life is like a spring, and the higher the pressure, the higher it is. I am eager for stress, because stress makes me grow faster. The first sentence is to tell the truth, but the second sentence is somewhat "pleasant" to the interviewer. Who is not eager to find a job that is easy and cost-effective? I believe the interviewer is quite satisfied with my performance, because she then let me enter the next round: a few days later, the Eastern Sales Manager will travel to Hangzhou. The sixth time: point out your shortcomings in a timely and appropriate amount, don't forget to propose improvement methods. The sales manager arrived in Hangzhou a few days later. The sales manager is a temperament beauty, wearing a professional suit, very gentle look. Therefore, the interview did not have a arrogant atmosphere, but it was a bit like accepting an interview. At her request, I talked about a successful sales case from a previous job. When I finished, she didn't have any indications. I saw that she didn't seem to want to ask anything and decided to take the attack. I said, "Do you want to know some of my work experience and my characteristics?" The manager was a little surprised, and I am afraid I have never encountered this situation before. However, I feel that such "recklessness" is necessary. The interview time is short but important. You must learn to fully demonstrate your strengths. And I did not blindly say my strengths and advantages, I appropriately said some of my shortcomings. For example, my character is more lively, but there may be some small impulses; I have a strong desire to play, and there may be some wrong judgments at work. Of course, I emphasize that I will find and correct my mistakes in time. I thought that it is a mature and confident performance to put your own shortcomings out. No one is perfect, but knowing how to correct is the most important thing. The seventh time: an interview was added to the sixth interview in the hotel lobby from 10 am to 11:30. At 12 o'clock, I received another call. Another sales manager is on a business trip in Hangzhou. He hopes to see me. I feel that this interview is added. Although I am very tired, I am not unwilling to give up. Accepting different people's interviews on different occasions, one is to help them better understand me, and the other is to help me understand more about the company. When I arrived at the hotel where the manager stayed, the manager was preparing to check out, so the interview was held in the coffee shop in the lobby. It is still a Chinese and English two-stage, or these problems, more like chatting. Maybe it is more interviews. I think that there is nothing to be nervous about the interview, and there is no need to prepare anything. Just express your own characteristics. The 8th: I finally met the big boss. Shortly after the end of the seventh interview, I was told to go to the Shanghai headquarters for an interview on Friday morning. The interviewer is a sales manager in Greater China. He is a tall, northern accent and looks like a straightforward person. A conversation before the interview made me relax a lot. He said: Don't be nervous, this should be the last interview. I said: This interview is very important to me, so I am still a little nervous. He said: Is this the first interview? I said: the 8th time. He said: It is very hard, it takes you a lot of time. I said: I am very willing, because I want to enter G company. The interview is divided into two paragraphs. When interviewing in English, the interviewer's questions are very regular. For example, why did you choose G company; where did you first learn about G company? Why do you persuade me to give you this position? Do you think English is a necessary skill? and many more. I think that although the problems are similar, don't forget to constantly remind each other of their own strengths. I generally answered this question: I learned about G from a celebrity autobiography, and I very much hope that I can experience the corporate culture of G company. This is a desirable thing. And my communication talent should allow me to adapt to this job. As for English, although I am not very fluent in English, I am a person who has lived to learn old. I will study well until I can communicate with everyone. Finally, the HR manager who walked into the office let me finally know that I did jump into the door of G company without any danger: "We made this decision very difficult, because everyone has certain differences on the employment. We finally decided to hire you, not Because your customer relationship or existing ability, but think you have potential...".
