My Social Practice in Summer Holidays Sees the Construction of New Socialist Countryside

I didn't go home during the summer vacation. I attended the social practice activities of the XX years of the Agricultural College of Liaocheng University at the school, and came to Zhou Liucun with the “Technology Supporting Agriculture”. I am excited here. What I saw and heard here also gave me more thoughts on "building a new socialist countryside."

Zhou Liucun is a typical agricultural village, and ancestors have lived on land for generations. The village has a total of 1378 mu of cultivated land. Compared with the total population of the village, the per capita land share is also among the top in several nearby villages. In recent years, along with the construction of new villages in China, the village committee led everyone to set up special cultivation, and got rid of the life pattern that only survived by planting food, which has been left by the ancestors, and the per capita income has been greatly improved. The village is mainly engaged in the production of watermelon, cotton and corn in greenhouses, so that it can supply a large number of surrounding markets on the premise of meeting its own needs. It is known from the mouth of the village party secretary that in all crops, only one greenhouse watermelon covers an area of 150 mu, which is the main source of watermelon nearby and is the main source of income for the villagers. For the development and construction of the village, the villagers are very satisfied. After all, they have been poor for a few years and can finally get rid of poverty and run a well-off society. For this, the village committee has contributed. Under their leadership, Zhou Liucun is walking on the road of building a new socialist countryside and building a new socialist countryside with confidence.

As is known to all, in recent years, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China has formulated a series of archives on the issue of “agriculture, rural areas and farmers”. The issues of agriculture, rural areas and peasants have become the focus of society, especially in February this year’s “Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council on promoting the construction of a new socialist countryside. After the promulgation of several opinions, the country has set off a wave of building a new socialist countryside. How to build a new socialist countryside has become the subject of discussion. The promulgation of various national policies has indeed effectively promoted farmers' increased production and income, and improved the comprehensive agricultural production capacity. Since the abolition of the agricultural tax nationwide and the improvement and strengthening of the “three subsidies” policy, the farmers have actually tasted the sweetness of the new village construction. After reducing the burden of open source and letting farmers increase their income, China has also created a new situation in the construction of a new socialist countryside. Now, everyone is talking about the construction of a new socialist countryside, but where is the “new” of the new rural construction? How to do "new"?

Judging from the country's distribution file, the "new" of the new countryside means: production development, ample life, civilized villages, clean villages, and democratic management. That is to say, we must continue to promote modern agriculture and strengthen new ones. Industrial support for rural construction; promote farmers' continuous income increase; accelerate the development of rural compulsory education and improve labor skills; accelerate the pace of rural energy construction and strengthen the construction of rural grassroots organizations. We know that in rural areas everything is based on land. For a farmer, land is their lifeline. In the modern rural areas, 90% of the peasants still depend on the land for their lives. So the construction of a new socialist countryside should be transferred to the most basic land. Therefore, how to use the land in hand is the key to building a new village.

To build a new countryside, we must scientifically plan the land and care for it. However, it is not difficult to find that the land in the hands of farmers in recent years is constantly being threatened. Due to the expansion of the city, the suburbs are getting smaller and smaller, which is beneficial for shortening the gap between urban and rural areas. However, people who have lived in the countryside for generations will be citizens at once. How can they make a living? How to solve their food and clothing problems and the education problems of their children? It is necessary to shorten the urban-rural gap, but there must be a gradual process, and we must not be eager to step into the sky and complete it in an instant. Urban expansion is one aspect. In the rural areas, with the gradual development of the rural economy, farmers' lives are becoming more and more affluent, and farmers' demand for housing conditions is increasing year by year. When building a new house, some farmers often abandoned the old house and re-elected the new house to build a new house. This is undoubtedly a serious waste of land. Because the old homestead has been active for a long time, it is not suitable for planting crops for several years. In this way, farmers need to use twice the size of their homestead when they build a new home. In order to facilitate transportation, some villagers generally choose to build houses on both sides of the main road, and they are very random. In ancient China, such a sentence was left, saying that “the house on the road, the land under the road” means that the house near the road has better feng shui. On the contrary, the land below the road is longer. Because the houses are covered on both sides of the road, the relatives are relatively reduced. A good place is better than ten acres, which is undoubtedly a serious waste of land and reduced land utilization. At the same time, the lack of planning when occupying land, the management is not in place, the scale of land occupation is difficult to control, and the construction layout is disorderly. The land utilization rate in rural areas is extremely low.

As a college student, we must care about state affairs. Regarding the land issue, I believe that in the period of building a new socialist countryside in China, we should strictly control the construction land to effectively protect the farmers’ basic farmland and reduce the unnecessary construction of public facilities. We can carry out land reclamation and land in the potholes according to local conditions. The land is cultivated by means of earth transportation and filling in different places to achieve the balance of cultivated land occupation and compensation. At the same time, even in small villages, the village must conduct a comprehensive investigation of the reserve land resources and formulate plans for the use of land in the village in the near, medium and long term. It is imperative to rush to occupy the peasant land in order to catch up with the form. The arable land reserve will make good plans for the development of future generations and realize the sustainable development of the land. Of course, it is not enough to rely solely on one village to do these things. It is also necessary for relevant departments to issue relevant policies to protect cultivated land and reduce waste. Increase land consolidation efforts and improve land utilization.
