Summer Hospital Social Practice Report for 2019

"Healthy, life is opposite." As a medical student, I am full of embarrassment when I say this sentence.
Flowing on the university campus, swimming in the ocean of knowledge, time flies. Medical knowledge has ignited my belief in saving the wounded and dying. The university campus has also inspired my inertia. Swim the vast medical knowledge and realize the fragility of life and the sacredness of the doctor's profession. However, pure theoretical knowledge makes me feel that the disease is far away from me, and learning has become a task. "Determining to do everything in its power to eliminate the diseases of human beings, to help the perfection of health, to maintain the holiness and honor of medical treatment. To save the wounded and dying, to succumb to hardships, to pursue persistently, to fight for the development of the medical and health care of the motherland and to struggle for the physical and mental health of the motherland, has become hollow." Also blurred.
This summer, I was fortunate to have an internship at a top three hospital in the city. Here, I feel filled and filled my body. The internships spurred me to think constantly, the meaning of life and the sacred mission of medical students illuminate my long journey to the medical cause.
On the first morning of the internship, I came to the hospital very early, and the doctor who took me had not gone. I went to say hello to the nurse at the nurse station, and then sat quietly on the extra bed waiting for his arrival. One hour feels long and full of expectations, seems to think a lot but seems to have nothing to think about. His flicker made me laugh involuntarily. He called me to the rounds with awkwardness and asked me to check on the side. It feels really amazing. I took a patient in the morning and asked her what happened, when she was sick, where there was pain, whether her urine was normal, her past medical history, and then combined with the b-super report, it was diagnosed in just a few minutes. For acute appendicitis, surgery was performed at noon.
When I looked at a patient for a change of medicine, I began to understand how painful and helpless the patient was. She had 25 beds. When she went in, she saw a lot of gauze on her right lower abdomen, dyed with pus, and the skin bulged a "big bag". The ward was full of unpleasant smells, and now I still have some feelings. At that time, I didn't dare to ask the doctor what was going on, because I saw the painful expression of the patient: the eyebrows were tightly closed, and after seeing their wounds, they turned desperately to the beginning, but they couldn’t help but look again. Putting the Vaseline gauze into the wound, she picked it up in pain and walked out of the ward. I asked Teacher Liu what happened. He said that the small intestine left outside...
I began to really understand the suffering of the patient!
By understanding the condition, it is known that the colonic liver region obstruction due to ulcerative colitis undergoes "right hemicolectomy", and the patient's incision sees food residue in the first month after surgery, "1. Incision infection after right hemicolectomy 2. Intestinal fistula was admitted to hospital again. After the admission for more than one month, the "end ileal fistula", the wound needs to be washed and changed daily, and the previous scene appeared.
When I first entered the central operating room, my heart was filled with excitement, but depression, and tremor. Lying on the operating table is a girl who is one year younger than me, to do "spleen resection + vascular dissection around the fundus cardia." It was diagnosed as "1. portal vein cavernous degeneration and cirrhosis portal hypertension 2. gastric varices 3. chronic superficial gastritis with erosion".
While feeling the fate of the patient, I began to reflect on myself, reflect on the profession I will be engaged in, and begin to realize the sacred duties of the doctor. The oath of "saving the wounded and dying, not arduous, persistent pursuit, and the struggle for the development of the medical and health care of the motherland and the physical and mental health of the motherland" continues to circulate in the mind. I warn myself: To be a good doctor, to eliminate the disease of human beings, to help the health of perfection.
I think that as a good doctor, you should have a "five hearts": patience, love, confidence, responsibility and initiative. Be patient and analyze the patient's condition, be patient and meticulous in explaining the patient's work, let the patient have more peace of mind and less concern; treat the patient with love and be able to consider it from the perspective of the patient, especially before the patient is admitted to the hospital and surgery. More care for patients, more than patients communicate, eliminate their inner fears and uneasiness; have confidence in the cure of the disease, no matter the troublesome miscellaneous diseases, as long as the patient or his family does not give up, the doctor should not abandon, believe I want to give him the opportunity to live and even recover; to be responsible for daily work or surgery, to be accurate and accurate, to be precise and accurate; to be more enterprising, to accumulate experience It is also necessary to continue to learn, to have extensive medical knowledge and to have superb professional skills.
At the same time, I also deeply understand that doctor work is hard. At 8 o'clock in the morning to check the room, then open the doctor for the patient, one or two doctors to manage more than 30 beds, about 10 o'clock after the doctor's order, then go to the operating room, sometimes there are two operations a day, noon in the operating room Eat, the surgery will be two or three points. In addition, patients are discharged and admitted to the hospital every day. Patients discharged from the hospital are required to give a “discharge record”. The medical records need to be sorted. Patients admitted to the hospital must have an “admission assessment”. The patient should be consulted, the cause, history and current status should be asked. The condition should be analyzed and given. The best treatment plan. In addition, the wounds of patients after surgery should be changed, and there are emergency patients from time to time...
But when you see the painful patient leaving the hospital with a smile, you may feel that everything you do is worthwhile. Therefore, when a doctor must be a good doctor, be a doctor who learns to think for the patient and can laugh with the patient, so that he does not feel that the work is boring and heavy. The patients have put their lives in our hands, and we should take this responsibility and do our best to keep them healthy and laughter. If you think that these jobs are boring or complicated, then you must not be a doctor. The doctor who has no patient in his heart must not be a good doctor, and he must not be a doctor.
Just as the director of the department has asked: doctors must fulfill their responsibilities, constantly improve their skill level, and be able to be alone when necessary; do surgery accurately, avoid medical accidents and even postoperative complications; care for patients, explain Work must be in place to make patients or their families arguing for various problems.
Treating a patient, perhaps a simple comfort, a greeting, a small movement will make it show a long-lost smile. The disease has already plagued them with pain and exhaustion. As a medical staff, they only learn to understand and sympathize with patients. With the patient in mind, I can continually spur myself to improve my skills, in order to truly do my own job, and to match the "white angel".
