This summer we participated in the “Summer Holiday School” organized by the Youth League Committee and Taishan Street. As volunteer teachers, we are divided into groups, each responsible for a community. Our group consists of four people, and the teaching point is the Pudong community. The Pudong community has just joined the summer holiday school this year. There are some immature places, but the community leaders, parents and children are very supportive. We did a very good job, and the students were able to insist on coming every time, which made us feel very happy. The community director told us at the opening ceremony that there may not be many students this year, and the teaching conditions are relatively simple. But since we have participated in the summer holiday school, this is our job. Regardless of the number of children or the teaching conditions, we will do our best to do our best.
Since such a long time of teaching, we have learned a lot from the teaching interactions with the children. We have trained ourselves and felt a lot of things, so that we have a new understanding of life and life.
Every time we teach and teach children, we will feel particularly fulfilled and happy, and of course we will treat every teaching seriously. Although there are not many children, they are very obedient. The relationship between us is very harmonious, just like a friend, which also brings convenience to our teaching. I remember one time, two students sitting next to one of our faculty members found problems at the same time. When he made a request to him, he did not know who to explain first. We will work hard to make ourselves adult and use our experience to help the children. This practice has given us an opportunity to repay the society. We will complete our work, be a qualified socialist builder, and dedicate ourselves to the next generation.
At the beginning of the event, we organized a movie watching event. We made careful preparations and selections before the event started. Finally, we chose the movie "Warm Spring". This is a very educational film. It is a story about a very sensible little girl. Since there is no computer in the community, we use the laptop we brought to the children to watch. I heard that I want to put a movie, the children are very happy, because we have been learning before, maybe the children are a little tired. The movie started, whether it was a child or we were all focused on the screen. With the development of the plot, we couldn't help but drop our tears. Especially the little boy sitting in the first row, usually a very naughty and cool look, crying today, really a lovely child, I really hope that he can become sensible like a small flower in the movie. By watching this movie, I think the children will definitely cherish the hard-won learning opportunities, and will be more considerate of their parents and be a filial child. Then we recommended some other educational films to the children. I want to make the children entertained through these videos, so that they can relax in the intense study and prepare for better study in the future. At the same time, through these films, they can also learn how to behave. This is A good form of education.
In this activity, an old man gave us a deep impression. He is the principal of our Pudong community. This year, he is over 80 years old, but his body is very tough and his spirit is awkward. I heard that we are obligatory to teach the children. The old man is very happy. He said that he is very grateful to us for coming to teach the children and give up the opportunity to reunite with their families. Every time we go, we will see the busy figure of President Jia. Our communities have also held several events together, such as telling stories and watching movies, which enriched the children's summer life and expanded their abilities in all aspects. Especially in the storytelling competition, the children are actively involved, although some of them are a bit nervous on the podium. But as an audience, we really admire them and dare to challenge ourselves. Dare to stand on the podium itself is already a great victory. We are an ordinary member of the university and a "child" who has not really set foot on the society. We still have a lot of things to add. In the opportunity to exercise self again and again, they often give up because of their timidity. Dare to challenge ourselves is what we learned from our children.
Of course, there have been some problems in the event. Students sometimes disobey, maybe playing is the nature of children. How to let the children study hard, learn something, and let the children learn happily, accept knowledge completely and explore Knowledge, this is what we should consider in the future. Activities can't be done perfectly, and they do what they think, but after repeated attempts, summing up the experience again and again, I think it must be enough to reach the goal in our hearts. Time flies, and soon one and a half months of obligatory tutoring is coming to an end. Everyone is happy together, but now it is a bit reluctant. The children are very cute and it makes sense to serve the community. Here we have learned a lot of things that are not in the book, and it is also a practice different from the company internship.
