As the hometown of the ancient saints, the city is surrounded by water and has a superior geographical environment. It has a long history and splendid culture. It can be said that the products are rich and rich. Although the cultural center is not large, it is very organized to show us the history, culture, politics, and economy of the city. In particular, in recent years, various villages and towns under the Yucheng City have followed the pace of reform and opening up, and have developed new and distinctive industries such as hibiscus crafts and grass and willow crafts, and have made great achievements.

Especially with the change of people's ideas since the reform and opening up, folk art with traditional characteristics is dying step by step, and most people lack the awareness to protect them."
The discussion ended in a friendly and warm atmosphere. And we are about to embark on our itinerary again and head to our final destination, Fanyu Village, Gangshang Town.
Fan Yicun survey record
On the morning of July 8, a group of 17 people from the Summer Social Practice Team of the Department of Art arrived at the final destination, Fanyu Village, Gangshang Town, Yucheng County.
The biggest difference between this research activity and the previous year is the clear purpose, detailed division of labor and strong pertinence. According to the needs, the survey content is divided into five directions: village layout survey, rural lifestyle survey, family profile and development status survey, economic status survey, folk artist records. The principle of voluntary combination is adopted when grouping, and each group of three, each group is responsible for one direction, and submits a research report. In this way, the purposelessness of previous years is avoided, and the students are fully motivated and devoted to their own problems.
July 8th and 9th is the comprehensive data collection stage. During these two days, the students went deep into the households of Fanyu Village, talked with the villagers, and made detailed records. In the process, the students overcame the difficulties of hot weather and difficult dialects, and devoted themselves to the topics they selected. They not only collected a lot of useful materials, but also established a deep friendship with the local villagers.
On the 10th, the data collection stage, the enthusiasm of the Hong Kong government to lend two entertainment rooms to us as a "self-study room." After the end of the day, the data of each group was basically finished, which was a successful completion of the research task.
On the 11th, the research activities were all over. The students will also begin their summer vacation in the true sense. Although the survey conditions are more difficult, the students have successfully completed the research tasks, fully carried forward the team spirit, help each other, and conduct coordinated research. I believe this is a rich life experience and a good memory for every student.
