They thought that their newspapers were very boring and not very readable, just simple routine reports with certain Professionalism, not much social news, but still daring to go.
On July 16th, I came to the xx newspaper with several group members. It was more than 9 o'clock when I arrived. I was hospitalized by Director Zheng of the office. She patiently introduced us to the main activities of the newspaper. We know the editor-in-chief, deputy editor-in-chief and other reporters. Due to the time relationship, there was no interview activity on this day, and she arranged for us to familiarize ourselves with the newspaper in the reading room.
The first day passed quickly. We didn't learn any news knowledge. But the office reporter's kind and friendly approach, harmonious and friendly working atmosphere gave me great confidence and courage. I decided that no matter how boring, I Will try to stick to it here.
Due to the professionalism of xx newspapers, we can interview and participate in activities less, many times are directed at Dongfeng people and things, we mostly do not understand, had to "stand by", for social news, generally only the weekend section. In this way, we had to stay in the reading room. After a long time, I feel bored. When the instructor sees our thoughts, let us go out and write news and find news points. So we have more things to do, and at the same time can improve news sensitivity and professional ethics.
However, there are always unsatisfactory things. There are more students internships in xx, and there are doctors and doctors in Hunan Normal University. They are almost all teachers and sisters of journalism majors in junior or junior year. Some of our “counterfeit goods” are much worse than journalists in terms of news professional language and news, plus the instructor considers juniors. Brothers and sisters are faced with employment problems, and they usually give them more exercise opportunities, which has caused us some psychological pressure.
However, we did not give up on ourselves. Every morning, we went to the newspaper one hour earlier, and took the initiative to ask the instructor to ask if there were any interviews and to get more opportunities for exercise. If there is no, I would like to ask the teachers about some news interviews and writing questions. At the same time, I read some magazines related to news writing in the reading room. The important part is also specially recorded in the interview. Our persistence and initiative have won praises from the instructors and editors. I also realized that as long as you are diligent and diligent. If you do it diligently, you will have unexpected gains.
In the days when I was with the instructor, I gradually realized that it was not easy to be a good journalist. I remember that xx company held a stable work meeting. The meeting started at 2:15 pm. The instructor asked us to arrive at the venue before 2:00. The meeting lasted for more than three hours. The dullness and heat of the summer made people from inside to outside. They are extremely uncomfortable, but the reporters have no intention of withdrawing halfway. During the meeting, there was a heavy rain outside. We didn’t bring an umbrella. Maybe it was the “drive” of the concept of time. The reporter did not hesitate to rush into the rainforest, but we did not leave behind. When we returned to the newspaper, we found The reporters have started working in wet clothes. We are not serious about ourselves. . Afterwards, I realized that journalists are still suffering from the bitterness of the “innocent king” and how much social responsibility they bear.
There is a predecessor named Huang in the newspaper, who is over 70 years old. He still has a lot of research on newspapers. He often teaches us the experience of news writing. He said: "In the end, the news is still alive, and everything is going to be the ultimate. It’s literally counted now.” He cited some news stories of jokes and mistakes caused by improper use of words, telling us the importance of using words to make sentences, and said: “Now college students, language is generally not as good as before. Therefore, you have to learn more and learn more. It is also necessary to learn a classical Chinese text." When visiting the office of Huang’s predecessors, we found that there are several Chinese dictionaries on Huang’s desk, and the old notebooks are full. Celebrity famous words, idiom explanations and problematic news examples, corresponding analysis comments. We sincerely feel the importance of erudition. I think: "Live to the old, learn to be old" should be the end of this summer practice.
The newspapers are not always busy with work, and sometimes journalists will take us to the seventh floor to play, which adds a lot of fun to our practical life.
The busy and interesting month passed quickly. On the day of the identification form, we were disappointed. After saying goodbye to the reporters, we went back to the reading room and read all kinds of information until we got off work. I am not studying literature, not even studying journalism, but I am fortunate to learn from the xx newspaper. It is my interest. Now, one month after I look back, I feel that I have benefited a lot:
First, I feel that I have made some improvements in news interviews and writing, which laid a certain foundation for me to do a good job in the Department of Public Information.
