On June 27, 2008, this is a day that I will never forget. Today, I am going on the journey of social practice. Our first stop is Xiasha Spring Kindergarten, bringing love to the children here, inserting wings of love for them, and letting us fly with the childlike heart. We explain to them how to love ourselves, love the people around us, and love our lovely motherland.

Xiasha Spring Kindergarten is a small-scale private kindergarten with only three classes, five classes, five classes and five teachers. Most of the children here are children of migrant workers who come to work in Xiasha. They are children who have left their hometown to come to Hangzhou with their parents. They are from Fujian, from Anhui... and from Zhejiang Province. This kindergarten is like a miniature of China, gathering brothers and sisters from all corners of the country. Maybe it’s from other provinces. I found that there are individual children who are really introverted. They don’t take the initiative to find other children to play. They like to watch others play alone. The tender face is full of envy. I also found that some children are very swearing, and these swear words are like a piece of stain that tarnishes their innocence. I believe that this has little to do with the education of the teacher. It can only be influenced by the family. Most of the migrant workers have not received higher education. It is very common to speak swearing. Their children are vulnerable to their influence and swearing. The impact of parents on children is really great.

On July 1, 2008, bid farewell to the lovely children of Spring Kindergarten. We came to the Xiasha Center Experimental Kindergarten, the largest and best kindergarten in Xiasha. It is true that it is the best and the best. He has a three-story school building with a large lawn and many toys. These are not comparable to the Spring Kindergarten. He is like a castle, where the beautiful little princess and the handsome little prince live. The children here are more mature than the children of the Spring Kindergarten, and their knowledge is more abundant and understandable. I think this is related to the education they receive. The children here can learn to draw, can sing along with the piano, and can take a nap in an air-conditioned room... these are things that children in Spring Kindergarten cannot experience.

In seven days, I went to two kindergartens. What impressed me the most was the gap between them. Most of the kindergartens are children of migrant workers. The other kindergartens are mostly children in Hangzhou. None of the children in a kindergarten have watercolor pens, and few have learned paintings. Another kindergarten The children have all learned to paint, and the watercolor pens are all crayons; the children in one kindergarten are watching a cartoon on a TV set, and the TV in each classroom in another kindergarten; the children in a kindergarten I only eat a few biscuits as snacks, the other kindergarten children have snacks and post-meal fruits... the gap between them is too great. These gaps have made me deeply understand the education of the children of migrant workers. A more formal kindergarten like the Xiasha Center Experimental Kindergarten does not accept children of migrant workers. As a result, other migrant children can only go to other schools.

I have seen reports on the education of migrant children in the news. I didn't feel anything at the time. After these seven days of practical activities, I deeply realized the seriousness of this problem. They were all smart children, but their education made them more and more different.
