This practical activity was carried out in the Guanxi Second Community Residents Committee of Guanshan Street. It is understood that the Kansai Second Community is affiliated to the Guanshan Sub-district Office of Hongshan District, Wuhan City. It is located in the beautiful “Guanggu hinterland”, south of Nanhu Lake and north of Xiongchu Avenue. The geographical position is very advantageous, the transportation is convenient, the environment is beautiful, the proportion of green area of ​​the community is large, and the public facilities are perfect. The conditions of education, culture and health in the community are also quite superior. There are universities and colleges such as South-Central University for Nationalities, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, Hongshan Middle School, etc. There are provincial Rongjun Hospital and Guanggu Hospital nearby. The total area of ​​the community is more than 80,000 square meters. The community has complete functions and is equipped with relatively complete entertainment and fitness facilities. There are more than 50 residential buildings, nearly 100 building numbers, 98 building leaders, and more than 1300 households with more than 3,000 people. There are two community neighborhood committees, which are under the jurisdiction of Guanshan Street. The internship of the Kansai District 2 neighborhood committee has five members, one secretary of the book, and the rest are in charge of cultural and educational women, elderly work and aid workers, comprehensive governance and mediation, family planning, civil affairs and health. In addition, the disabled helpers assigned to the Shanjie Street Office are responsible for the disabled work in the community. The members of the neighborhood committee are elected by the residents. The community neighborhood committee has a term of three years. After the expiration, the election will be unified by the Hubei provincial government.

Guanxi Community Internship Process and Experience

First, the preliminary work of the community internship

The internship was led by Huang Qiao, Huang Qiao, Yang Shenggen and I went to contact, because Huang Qiao's Green Environmental Protection Association had previously carried out a series of activities in this community, so the negotiation was very smooth. However, I later encountered some minor difficulties when I arranged my classmates to go to the internship. The main reason was that I was nearing graduation. Everyone has a lot of things to do. There are postgraduate examinations, civil servants, job hunting... It’s hard to mobilize everyone. The enthusiasm to seriously participate in the internship activities. Fortunately, under our efforts, the internship activities were generally carried out smoothly, and the staff of the neighborhood committees were able to understand us and provided a very convenient environment for our internship activities. Thank you for their support and understanding. The Kansai community has a large scope and is divided into two sub-communities. In order to enable the students who participated in the internship to find a specific internship location very smoothly, I also specially used a computer to draw a simple map, which is a bit exaggerated. It's not accurate, but depending on the map, you can always find that location, which is enough.

Second, the internship process and feelings

The internship time was not very long. It was a week. In this short period of one week, let us walk out of the classroom, walk out of the school gate, and experience the world outside, and broaden our horizons and consolidate us. The professional knowledge you have learned.

In the process, I believe that we can deeply feel that society is a comprehensive university that can train people more. As we graduate, we should go out of school at the right time and take the time from now to July next year as a transition period from school to society. Such an internship opportunity allows us to learn something useful, to become a talent in practice, to combine the concept of social work with practical work, to truly serve the society, not only the requirements of college leaders and professional teachers, but also the society. I am the leader of the second group of this internship. Other members are: Ye Hong, Bai Jianrui, Huang Junjun, and Lin Ziqi. When we went to the internship on the first day, we were welcomed by the staff of the community neighborhood committee. We were very touched. In the few days of the internship, our five members first agreed to the three chapters of the law - not late, not leaving early, strictly abide by the work discipline of the neighborhood committee. Because we know that our words and deeds are not only representative of ourselves, but also concerned about our people's university. In those few days, we did, and I was very pleased. Some of them did not go because of something, and they explained to the director of the district in advance, please take a vacation.

Our main job in those days was to do legal publicity work on young people. Before I went to the internship, I had collected a lot of information about the legal promotion of young people on the Internet, and prepared for us to better carry out the internship work. . Several of our members are either dispersed or working together to be responsible for the project. Every morning and afternoon, when we arrive at the neighborhood committee on time, the director will arrange the work for us to complete, such as sorting out some files, processing some information, etc. The workload is not big, and sometimes it is a small thing, but each of us Complete it very seriously. Because we know that things seem simple and trivial, but they are closely related to the daily lives of many community residents. A little carelessness can cause big mistakes.

The juvenile legal propaganda work carried out by our community staff was carried out smoothly. The large-scale publicity announcement written by the team members in the form of a brush was posted on the community bulletin board together with the beautiful posters posted above, attracting a cluster of communities. Residents go to watch. Our members also gave some explanations on some of them so that the community residents could understand them more deeply. Thanks to the guidance and support of the community clerks, our work has achieved results and everyone is very happy.

At the end of the internship, we thanked the staff of the community neighborhood committee, thanked them for their understanding and support, and the staff also recognized our ability to work, and said that if there is an opportunity, I hope that next time I can go again.

Throughout the internship, I was constantly thinking about a problem. What is the function of the community neighborhood committee? How to look at the functions of community neighborhood committees from the perspective of social work profession?

In my own superficial understanding, the neighborhood committee “small but small” but “completely complete” has laid a solid foundation for building a more harmonious and stable society in order to maintain harmony and stability in the community.
