Metalworking Internship Summary Report

Metalworking Internship Report Material College Polymer Materials and Engineering Grade 03 Polymer Class A Xue Jirong Internship Number: 028 Internship Time: 2005-4-24 to 2005-5-13
Two weeks passed in the blink of an eye, but everything that I experienced during this period remained in my heart for a long time. In this rare internship opportunity, I have learned a lot of knowledge that I have never touched before, and my ability in all aspects has been greatly improved. It can be said that it is very rewarding.
First, my internship sentiment:
Through these two weeks of internships, I have a new understanding and understanding of metalworking manufacturing.
First, the safety of production is the primary issue. In the study and practice of various types of work, the teachers emphasize the most safety issues, including personal safety and equipment safety. Indeed, in any industrial production, the most relevant issue is the safety issue. Equipment with higher production efficiency, if it cannot guarantee the safety of the operator, will fail and will not be accepted by people. In addition, the safety problems we usually encounter are caused by the operator's mistakes. This requires us to strictly follow the operating procedures in production, and to be proficient in the performance and operation of the equipment. Only in this way can we avoid danger.
Secondly, in the operation of the equipment, carefully and strictly follow the requirements. The various equipments that are in contact during the internship, such as lathes, milling machines, planers and various CNC machine tools, have very precise matching components. If carelessly operated, it is easy to malfunction, which will not only damage the equipment, but also cause serious accidents in serious cases. , endangering the safety of themselves and others. Therefore, as an operator, we must have a careful, serious and rigorous attitude.
Also, due to the special production requirements of different types of work, it is very important to protect itself during production and operation. For example, in the process of casting and forging, we are exposed to many materials that are heated at high temperatures. The direct contact of the body is very dangerous, so we must contact these materials with sufficient preparation, and pay attention to when to judge when It is a safe state to avoid unnecessary dangers caused by your own rash behavior. Another example is that some types of work often produce special phenomena during operation, and protection against the adverse effects on the body can be avoided. The most typical example, in the operation of electric welding, strong light, spark is inevitable, ultraviolet light in strong light will cause skin lesions, high temperature sparks often cause burns, burns, therefore, the necessary protection is ten thousand Can not be omitted.
Second, I am most impressed by several types of work:
1. Welder This is our first day of internship. Simply put, this type of work is to use a method such as arcing, flame, etc. to heat and melt the welding materials, and then use these materials to wire some independent components. Different from the bolt connection and rivet connection, the welding method is suitable for the permanently connected parts and has higher stability.
Although there are many welding parts that are usually in contact with it, it is really not easy to operate it yourself. In the welding practice, because it is difficult to grasp the three important issues of angle, height and moving speed, the welding Gong that he made himself is always crooked and very ugly. Seeing the beautiful movements of the intern teacher, I really realized the meaning of the phrase “practice makes perfect”. Indeed, as a highly operational type of work, electric welding and gas welding require workers to have very skilled operations and rich experience. As a student, we can only be as good as ourselves.
At the same time, through the study of this type of work, I realized the importance of my protection. At this point, I have personal experience. Because I was not fully prepared, my arm was exposed to strong light during the internship. The skin on my elbow was severely sunburned. The effect was really "immediate." Since then, I have never dared to ignore the protection of myself.
Through the study of this type of work, I also have a high understanding of the safety issues. The temperature of the processed parts is in a very high state. Although the red hot state is released in a short period of time, there is still a temperature of about five hundred degrees, so it is impossible to contact. During the internship, I also used to feel free to contact the parts that I thought were very low in temperature. Although I had already worn thick gloves, I still felt the feeling of being burned, so I no longer dared to take it lightly.
2. Among all the types of work that the fitter had worked on, the fitter was the hardest one. In just one day, my arms were too tired to lift. According to the internship requirements, we must use an iron rod to make the nut. It sounds really unbelievable.
In my internship in this type of work, my feelings and gains are also quite a lot. First of all, through the internship of this type of work, I realize that the practical skills are very important. Because there are a lot of work that requires a lot of physical work in this internship, such as sawing and boring of iron bars, if the tools are used improperly, not only waste a lot of physical strength, but the results are often unsatisfactory, so we must pay great attention to it. Tips for using the tool. If you can find the most energy-efficient and efficient method, you can save a lot of time, and you won't be exhausted. Second, I also received a very serious lesson in the internship of this type of work. Because in the roughing process, there is not enough left enough, so that because of the numerous boring processing, the nut I made has become the "mini" product of the small one, although the appearance looks good. In fact, it has become a scrap, which is a pity.
Analysis of the reasons, I think it is because before I started processing, I did not carefully analyze and plan my work, but blindly follow the books, so that I wasted a lot of time and energy. I hope that I can avoid this problem in my future study and work.
3. The internships of the three types of workmen, millers and planers, although they did not require a strict protective work environment like the welders, did not require labor-intensive work like the fitter, but left a deep impression on me. This is because the processing of these types of work is very strict with regard to accuracy.
In the internships of these types of work, the teacher requested that the dimensional tolerances of the workpieces after machining be only a few thousand units of millimeters. Such high demands make us dare not have the slightest negligence, for fear that the results that have been painstakingly made by our carelessness have become waste. The operation of these devices has such strict requirements that they are processed with matching components with strict dimensional requirements. Even very small mistakes can cause the processed parts to be scrapped because they cannot meet the matching relationship. Therefore, in the internship of these types of work, it is completely impossible to finish the work early to rest, because the processing of these machines can only take a step-by-step approach, each time processing a little, making accurate measurements after deciding The amount of processing next time until the size of the part meets the requirements.
Because of this, the internship of these types of work made me realize the importance of seriousness and rigor, and also exercised my ability to analyze problems, which benefited me a lot.
4. With the improvement of industrial automation requirements, computer technology and traditional machine tools have combined to produce various CNC machine tools. Through the internship of these types of work, I have truly realized the convenience brought by the development of science and technology to industrial production. The introduction of various numerical control equipment not only improves the production efficiency, but also improves the precision of the parts processing, and also makes the processing of various parts with complex shapes more. Convenience.
Of course, to be proficient in operating these machine tools, you must have sufficient computer knowledge and use. This has given me a deeper understanding of the knowledge of production.
III. My opinions and suggestions on the internship In this internship, all aspects of my work have improved. It can be said that the gains are not small. However, the internship is not very satisfactory for some aspects of the experience, so I hope to make some suggestions for the teacher's reference.
Throughout the internship process, what I regret most is the study of theoretical knowledge, which is always out of touch with actual operational training. Sometimes, I haven’t read the textbooks yet, and my mind is blank. The teacher asked us to start operating the machine tool. The effect of the internship can be imagined. However, some teachers of the class let us learn the materials themselves, although they have seen a lot. Still a mess, there is no help at all. Therefore, I hope that in the future internship, I can better carry out theoretical teaching, which will not only improve the proficiency of students' actual operation, but also reduce unnecessary troubles.
In addition, I feel that the internship time is very urgent. Each job type has a maximum of one day. Sometimes, due to the problem of the course, it will be reduced to half a day, and the chance of internship is even less. In this way, it is difficult to learn anything. Therefore, I hope that the school can increase the internship time or increase the number of internships, so that we have more opportunities to participate in this exercise.
