Summary of the social practice of the three rural areas in the summer of 2019
From July 7th to 12th, 2019, under the leadership of Teacher Wang, our Department of Business and Industry began a 10-year summer trip to the countryside. This time, around the theme of “Youth feels harmonious and the lens focuses on the countryside”, we started a week-long practice in Fuying Street, Xianju, Taizhou, Zhejiang.
This practical activity not only allowed me to go deeper into the countryside, but also to understand and experience rural life. What made me gain more was that I exercised my practical skills in all aspects and also met many and many friends. Aspects have improved my own comprehensive quality. Let me talk about it specifically below.
On the afternoon of the 7th, after nearly 4 hours of driving, we finally arrived at the destination. The first problem we faced after that was the accommodation problem. We live in a small classroom in the local country. We have to clean the classroom ourselves. We sleep on the floor and the table. We are not only facing the sun and the mosquitoes. I think this is the biggest test for our group of students who are used to a happy life. Later, in the next 8. 9 number, we went deep into the countryside and went to the local residents' residence to conduct a social survey. Doing a questionnaire is an effective way to test a person, especially when coming to an unfamiliar environment to communicate with strangers. I think many of them are worth learning. I am investigating a local middle-aged man in his 40s. He just came back from the ground. Because we used to find that the local area is rich in crops. So the first impression I gave was that the new rural construction here was developing well. Presumably the problem of food and clothing has been solved. But in the subsequent conversation I learned that the man had two children, one in the country and the other in the country. The uncle is obviously very happy when he talks about the policy that the education bureau is free of charge during the period of the rural children’s national small school. But then he told us that his other child was in the country, although the tuition was only 330 yuan, but he also burdened him very heavy, only for the extra 30 yuan, he talked to the principal many times. He told us not to see a lot of crops here. However, the fields they planted are not enough to solve their own food and clothing problems. Where can they be used to sell and make money? He also pointed out to us to see the houses around. Tell us that there is a strange phenomenon in the house here, it is simply built but not painted, because they have not enough economic resources. The most touching thing was that on the second day after my interview, the uncle came to our country with his little daughter and told her that this is a college student from a big city in Hangzhou. I hope she can study well. . Looking at the father and daughter, I think I finally understood the bitterness of my parents. Perhaps reading is the only way out of poverty for the children there.
In the next few days, we even teamed up with two poor children in the area. There we saw the heart-walking street before liberation, where the traditional courtyard house. But we also saw the villa. We have seen many people have problems because of poverty. But we even saw some people driving the car. I think there is still a gap between the rich and the poor in the construction of new countryside. Of course, we have discovered many new achievements in the “new rural construction”. Many local people have carried out medical insurance and established related medical insurance. The local tertiary industry has also developed rapidly, solving the problem of food and clothing for many local people. The development of handicrafts and the chemical industry has given the local economy a new source of income.
Of course, the biggest thing that made me this event was that I met more new friends and increased my team awareness. During this event, we learned each other in the activity of the questionnaire, cultivated courage, and established friendship. At the summary meeting held every night, we each published the feelings of the day. During the conversation, we learned to communicate with the teacher and let everyone know what I thought. Among them, the links between various departments of our department have been strengthened. In the dumplings activities, we cultivated a tacit understanding in entertainment and increased friendship. During the event, we all represented our college and were a group. Under this premise, our team awareness and collective sense of honor are enhanced.
At this event, I not only learned about the status quo of new rural construction, but also improved my practical ability. More importantly, we have gained a lot of friendships. I think this has great benefits for our own development and the construction of our department. This is a good practice.
