Summary of the work of the model
There are 25 teachers in the English teaching and research group of our school, including 21 female teachers , accounting for 84%. Under the leadership of the Municipal Women's Federation and the Education Bureau, under the care and guidance of the school leaders and trade unions, the English teaching and research group of our school takes the work of professional ethics as the work goal, and raises the level of education and teaching as the work content, and conscientiously works in the position of teaching and educating people. Unite and help each other, work together, actively participate in education and teaching reform, and strive to create Zhenjiang City-level "Women's Civilization Post", and make unremitting efforts for the school education, teaching and research work of the Third Middle School. The main achievements since 2019 are summarized below.
First, earnestly do a good job in teaching and research
The further development of regional education modernization has put forward new requirements for our teaching work. The development of the times requires us to continuously cultivate complex innovative talents. Our English teaching and research group members can actively participate in the teaching and research. Combining with the actual situation of our school, we are guided by the principle of teaching, research and training, taking the new curriculum as the guide, taking the subject research as the starting point, taking the classroom teaching as the position, and taking the teacher professional development as the foundation to standardize the classroom teaching routine. In order to cut the entrance, we have always been committed to improving the professional ability of teachers to grasp teaching materials, process textbooks, and classrooms. Teachers and students have achieved different developments.
Promote yourself in teaching research. Mainly reflected in the following aspects: First, the implementation of the collective lesson system. In order to ensure that we can adapt to the new teaching requirements as soon as possible, we implement a collective lesson preparation system in the group. Each grade preparation group prepares lessons once a week, and organizes group preparations from time to time. Focusing on the new requirements put forward after the new curriculum reform, the teachers in the group fully studied the teaching materials, carefully wrote the teaching plans, discussed the key points and difficulties of the teaching materials, discussed and studied together, and continuously explored teaching methods and teaching methods to improve teaching efficiency. Through group preparation, everyone gathers ideas, exchanges and experiences, shares teaching experience and teaching materials and information, and promotes common progress. The second is to listen to each other to promote teaching. In order to improve the business level, we launched an activity of “listening to promote teaching” and set off a class of listening in the group. The total number of class hours for teachers in the group is above 310. On average, each teacher listened to about 26 lessons, and some teachers even listened to more than 40 lessons. Through group preparation and group listening system, everyone learns from each other and helps each other. It not only absorbs the strengths of others, but also helps others find out the deficiencies, thus ensuring the quality of teaching and promoting the improvement of teaching level. The third is that "each class is an open class." On the basis of earnestly studying teaching materials and teaching methods, we have carried out the activity of “every class is open class” and put forward the slogan “In the process of new curriculum reform, let teachers and students move together”. That is to say, in the actual teaching, each class taught by each teacher in the group can be put into the standard of open class, and teachers from other schools and other disciplines are welcome to attend classes at any time. Through such high standards and strict requirements, the teaching level and teaching quality of the whole group of teachers have been greatly improved. The teachers in the group take the initiative to undertake the teaching tasks. In the activities, according to the actual characteristics and hobbies of the students, they are guided to take the initiative to learn, and strive to cultivate the ability of independent learning through multiple channels and channels. In the usual teaching process, the teachers in the group carefully corrected the students' homework, found that the problems were solved in time, and often listened to the opinions and requirements of the students and other teachers on the classroom teaching.
Develop yourself in peer support. The first is the consultation study. The focus of the teaching and research group activities is to exchange and discuss, promote each other through seminars, complement each other, and continuously improve. We often conduct action research around the effectiveness and inefficiency of teaching after conducting the teaching and research theme activities on key issues in English teaching. The group conducted a consultation study on all aspects of the teacher , and found that the flashing place, as an example of future teaching, finds the deficiencies and takes it as a warning. Promoting the rapid growth of the whole group of teachers under the carrier of behavioral reflection. The second is inter-school networking. Actively organize networking activities between schools, and continue to learn useful ways to explore English teaching through interactive class evaluation. The third is online teaching and research activities. Carry out "network teaching and research activities", do a good job in guiding teachers' theoretical study, publicize new educational concepts, good teaching methods, exchange experience in curriculum reform, explore teaching and research issues, advocate full participation, resource sharing, and give full play to the collective Wisdom has formed a good atmosphere for teaching and research in schools.
Improve yourself in professional leadership. Vigorously carry out teaching exchange activities: First, start classes. Based on the principle of “bringing in, going out”, we work closely with other schools to conduct exchange activities. Last year, many teachers in the group successfully completed the task of public open class. The second is to learn. At the same time as the opening of the public class, the teachers of this group also took advantage of all possible opportunities to participate in various group lectures and lesson preparation activities organized by other schools. The third is the competition. While listening to each other's classes, we actively organized and participated in various teaching and evaluation activities, and achieved remarkable results. The fourth is the pair of mentoring. The school has formulated the "Professional Growth Plan for Young Teachers " and the " Teacher and Apprentice Pairing System" to identify the instructors for new teachers . After passing on, helping, and bringing, young teachers will become familiar with the teaching business as soon as possible, learn the working methods of the class teacher, and develop excellent teachers . Activities, so that the experience and methods of excellent teachers can be passed on, so that teachers with better basic quality can stand out faster, shorten the process of exploration, less detours, and quicker results.
Second, strive to create a warm collective
The model camp is a base for female teachers to become talented. It is also a warm paradise for female teachers . The school leaders attach great importance to the cultural life of teachers . We regularly organize our outings and visits, not only enjoying the beauty and human landscape of nature, but also broadening our horizons. It cultivated sentiment and harmonized the feelings between the members of the post.
In peacetime, we carry out a variety of activities, advocate a healthy and civilized lifestyle, have regular exchanges of faculty and staff, and organize activities to enhance the cohesiveness of female teachers; there are three or eight festivals, Teacher's Day celebrations, so that teachers ' mind and body are relaxed. There is a professional culture knowledge contest to enable teachers to improve their quality during the event. Regardless of the activities, the female teachers of this post can always actively participate with full enthusiasm. Through various kinds of collective activities, our collective sense of honor is improving, and the image of “the image of the sergeant” is more deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. “Devotion of love and dedication” has become a common practice.
Our "Women's Demonstration Post" puts the special rights of female teachers in an important position. For example, when teachers are sick and have children, the whole group of teachers send them warmth, so that they really realize that the “Wooden Civilization Demonstration Post” is like their own home, thus enhancing the cohesiveness of the demonstration posts and making them more active. The land was invested in the creation of the “Women’s Civilization Demonstration Post”.
Third, pay does have a return
Thanks to the efforts of all the staff members, our English teaching and research group has achieved remarkable results: Song Yanying was named as “Top Ten Teacher ” in Danyang City, and Yan Yaping and other teachers were awarded the title of “Danyang City Teaching Expert” and Qiu Yanjing and other teachers won the Danyang City Competition. The first prize of the class, He Guohua was awarded the title of “Leader Leader” in Zhenjiang City, Zhu Xiaohua, and Mr. Shu Hehua were awarded the title of “Zhenjiang City Teaching Leader” and Fang Danhua and other three teachers were awarded the honorary title of “Danyang City Academic Leader”. More than 50 papers have won national and provincial awards.
As the saying goes, there is no best, only better. Although we have made some useful explorations in the creation work and achieved the goals in the creation plan, this can only represent the past. Looking ahead, there is still a long way to go. The achievement of these achievements is only the starting point for our three-in-one English teaching and research group to continue to work hard. We will, as always, do a good job in all aspects of work, forge ahead, and make persistent efforts to support the "half the sky" and strive to play an exemplary role.
