Summary of the 2019 College Student Union's Welcome Work

Welcome, as the first student work started in the new semester of the Student Union of our school, and it is related to the effective development of recruiting new work afterwards, the importance of which can be seen. In general, from the initial planning to the development of related work, the development was smooth and there were no major mistakes.

In the preliminary preparation, the student union will have a clear division of labor, relevant work documents, publicity banners, posters, signs, leaflets and materials for the release of new materials, borrowed tables and chairs and luggage carts will be in place to ensure the welcome of the day. The work of guidance and registration is smooth, orderly and efficient. However, there are still some mistakes in the details, and more or less delays. Although these small mistakes have no fatal impact on this event, they all reveal the lack of care of the implementers in dealing with the assigned tasks, and hope to attract attention in future work.

In addition, another misconduct in publicity is that the timing of hanging banners is not timely. Because there is no geographical position that can dominate, I have to relocate the couplet banner that should have been hung in Building No. 3 to Building No. 2. Although objectively, this is related to the delay in the content of the banner and the late formation.

September 8th and 9th are the two most important days for the student union of our school to be responsible for the registration of freshmen. The students will arrange the work on the spot in a more detailed manner, and the staff will implement the shift system to ensure the continuous development of the service for the new posts in the relevant positions. In this orientation, our students will have several innovative highlights. First, in order to facilitate the admission of new parents to the Ximen Cultural and Sports Museum and the preparation for military training in front of the No. 7 Building in the North Gate.

In the book, the student union will arrange a “baggage temporary storage office” to temporarily store the new baggage to ease the burden. And there were basically no mistakes during the storage process. Second, we rented a sightseeing car from the Dinosaur Park as our new student shuttle bus to pick up the new students and parents to and from the West Gate and the North Gate where they need to go through the formalities and registration. In addition, in the half-day tour of the campus for new students, the shuttle bus also played an important role. With its convenient and quick way and enthusiastic service attitude, it is highly praised by new students and parents. Third, the busy back of the party members' love service car and the volunteers wearing Little Red Riding Hood in the dormitory have become a beautiful landscape in this orientation. The ten trolleys we rented from the supermarket removed the weight and hassle of carrying the luggage back and forth between the new students and the parents.

The rest, such as arranging guidance staff to provide counseling services for new students and their parents, guiding them to the procedures at the relevant locations, issuing tips on anti-theft and security, and so on.

In addition, the ability of the student union to adapt to the work process has been strengthened, which is fully reflected in this welcome event. For example, the arrangement of waiting points that were not originally thought of and the logo of the party members' love cars have been effectively arranged and produced in a busy manner.

Of course, there were some unnecessary mistakes and troubles in the event. If the new student registration form that was originally prepared should be printed until the day of the event, it is almost indiscriminate. The management of the car service car is also lax, and it is always fearful of the safety of the car. In addition to the main grasp of the activity process, it is necessary to consider all aspects in detail.

As for the finishing work, the various things belong to their place, there is no loss, the staff is responsible and do a good job.

Overall, this orientation has basically completed the initial plan. There is a new form, work and service attitudes are worthy of recognition, and details need to be improved. Looking forward to the next year's welcome work can do even better!
