With the development of society, the new characteristics of post-80s and post-90s college students have brought many new topics to education. Only by learning self-education and self-management can college students adapt to today's fiercely competitive society.

In 1919, Mr. Tao Xingzhi first put forward the idea of ​​“student autonomy” and gave a definition of student autonomy in the article “Study on Student Autonomy”: “Autonomy is the process of students starting a group, and everyone learns how to manage themselves. Specifically, it relies on the leading role of managers, fully mobilizes students' awareness of subject participation, and exerts students' self-motivation, in order to cultivate students' self-management, self-education and self-development.

Student autonomy is the most effective management mode in line with the students' own existence and development. It is an advanced form of university management and a need for social training. Constructing the autonomy system of college students is the foundation and guarantee for realizing the autonomy of college students. There is no doubt that the Student Union is one of the core strengths of this system.

The Student Union of Jilin University Law School is a student population organization of law school. It has always been a strong backing for the development and interests of law school students. It has also been adhering to the fine traditions of the student union and striving to innovate, trying to implement the scientific development concept into all aspects of college students' work. Under the correct leadership of the Youth League Committee and the Student Work Office, the company has achieved new progress and achievements, and the reform and development situation is gratifying.

As the 2011 freshmen grow and adapt to college life, the willingness to participate in student work continues to grow.

In order to obtain excellent fresh power for the Student Union of Jilin University Law School, realize the work of the Student Union of Law School, and cultivate the activity ability, organizational ability and leadership ability of the new student cadres, the Jilin University Law School Student Association will be held on October 23rd. Teaching the fifth floor to carry out new activities. The new activities are mainly divided into two parts: written test and interview: the written test questions are randomly issued according to the department and completed in 30 minutes. After completing the written test, the application form is sent to the interviewer of the corresponding department.

Different from the previous assessments of the Student Union , this new Nai's written test questions are more professional and specific, and the form is more lively and open. It is undoubtedly a double test of the professional competence and comprehensive ability of the examiners.

After rigorous review and screening, 61 students from the 09th class became members of the 22nd Student Union of the School of Law, and a new student meeting was held on the evening of October 31st. Also attending the meeting were the 09-level guide, the student council teacher Gao Yan, the student council president Zou Yun, the secretary-general Ma Yuzhuo, and other major leading cadres of the student union .

At the meeting, Gao Yan’s visit to the scene made the audience very honored. In the opening speech, Gao Yan deeply recalled the work experience of the student union in his student days. At the same time, the new and old members of the student union put forward the requirements of “five forces”, which are vitality, synergy, ability, courage and motivation. The requirement of this "five forces" not only puts forward the direction of struggle for the students, but also the criteria for the students to work in the student union in the future.

At the end of the meeting, the student council chairman Zou worked to summarize the speech. Chairman Zou Yun was introduced by the "three stresses" mentioned by Gao Yan before, and discussed the "three stresses", that is, the necessity of learning, being righteous, and expressing unity, and reaffirming the purpose and work objectives of the Student Union and becoming the future student union. An important guide to the collective value orientation of student work.

This new activity is expected to recruit 60 people, and actually recruit 60 people, including 10 Secretariat, 7 development and reform departments, 4 discipline inspection departments, 12 external departments, 4 learning departments, 6 publicity departments. There are 5 people in the Ministry of Literature and Art, 6 in the sports department and 6 in the art group. There is no objection.

This new work was carried out during the critical period of the reform and development of the Student Union . The event received strong support and full trust from the College. During the course of the activity, the principles of fairness, justice, openness, moderate balance, and preference were implemented. The students' characteristics were tailored to their needs, and the influenza inspection and prevention and control work in the new activities was effectively completed.

The overall event, the overall view, is more successful, quite a bit of a point:

1. More complete planning. In the early stage of this new activity, there were relatively careful deployment and arrangement, the process layout was specific, and the division of labor was clear. This makes the activities of the staff members perform their duties, which is conducive to the efficiency of the activities.

2. Correct overall guidance. This new event was co-ordinated by Chairman Zou Yun. His correct and effective leadership made the new work organic and efficient.

3. Higher attendance and participation rate. The biggest difference between this new activity and the previous student union activity is the higher attendance and participation rate. This is undoubtedly an important condition for ensuring that the activities can proceed smoothly according to the planned division of labor. At the same time, the high participation rate is also conducive to the formation of team cohesion, centripetal force and collective mission, and sense of honor in the event.

4. Consider the full details. Among them, it is worth highlighting the body temperature measurement and name numbering work before the pen entry, which adds people-oriented humanistic care to the work of the student union .

5. Higher work efficiency. In particular, the connection between the written test and the interview is based on the innovative self-service timekeeping method, which achieves the purpose of dispersing the interview flow, shortening the waiting time of the interviewer and improving the work efficiency, and has received wide acclaim.

Of course, there are still deficiencies in the activities that need to be improved:

1. The preparations for this new event are slightly rushed. In the early stage of the event, some preparatory work was not satisfactory because no sufficient time was reserved.

In the production of promotional materials, the production time of posters was insufficient, which directly led to the poor quality of posters and the late posting time, which had hardly played a propaganda role. In addition, the posters for various departments were also unable to be produced due to time rush, resulting in classmates. We can't accurately understand the content of each department's work and even misunderstand.

In the notice of the time and place of the event, the content of the notice was not fully conveyed due to the fact that the Secretariat did not fully investigate the course schedule of the customer group. Even some students learned the message after most people had finished the written test and rushed to the venue. I have to say that this is a major mistake in the work of the Secretariat.

In the preparation of the slides for the new students meeting, although the entire meeting will be carried out smoothly through the technical adjustment of the change link mode, it is still necessary to face up to the lack of activity preparation. This also urges the accelerated improvement of the student information management mechanism.

2. The order on the scene during the interview was slightly confusing. The cause of the confusion was mainly due to the large number of on-site personnel, and the staff responsible for the order at the scene did not perform their duties. Although the confusion of the event venue is still within the control of the organization, future activities should still be avoided.

3. After the officer's admission list was confirmed, the notice was negligent, causing many students not to know whether they were accepted or not, thus delaying the time for attending the meeting.

4. The organizational discipline shown at the new students meeting was poor.

Regardless of the deputy department or the officer, the new students will be absent and leave early. This is one of the long-standing ills of the student union . Not only is it not conducive to the spirit of the activities of the Student Union , it is not conducive to the organization management of the Student Union and the construction of the core value system. It leads to a lazy and casual negative image inside and outside the Student Union . Need to increase the intensity of remediation.

During the meeting of the classmates at the meeting, there was a phenomenon of “opening a small meeting” in the audience. This made the whole meeting very noisy and not serious, and it also affected the speaker's emotions and did not show due respect to the speakers. Especially as the deputy of the predecessors, the individual's style of expression is not rigorous and not serious, and they have not set a good example for the new students. In the future, they should be more correct and lead by example.

After the event, the students reflected more about the following points.

1. Since the official participation of the 2009 session of the Student Union , there has not been a strict disciplinary request and it is hoped that the meeting will be communicated as soon as possible.

2. I hope that all departments can lead new students to contact the students' work as soon as possible so that the new students can get familiar with the work they are working on as soon as possible and put them into the work of the students as soon as possible.

In addition, from the feedback from the Secretariat and the Department of Development and Reform on the summary of this new activity, the officers are unclear about the format of the work documents, the concept is unclear, and the organization is confusing.
