Education News Internship Summary

After the trip to the Three Gorges, I stayed at home for 14 days and returned to Beijing. Instead of being a volunteer, I went to the China Education News to start a one-month internship.

To this end, I missed the total solar eclipse in Shaanxi Province on August 1 and the total solar eclipse in Xi'an 360. For this reason, I have not been able to get too much with my family and friends.

But because I came three days earlier, I have two chances to publish an article. Misfortunes and blessings can be distinguished.

In the month of the internship in the Education News, I got up at 7:30 in the morning except the weekend. I went to the newspaper at 9:30, and I left after 4:30 in the afternoon. There are two days of leave, one week off, one day of interviews, and it is only 13 days in the newspaper office. The actual internship time is 15 days. In these fifteen days, I published three articles, each of which was published in four editions; there were two editions, one edition was wrong because of the carelessness, and the high teacher and typesetting workers were back on Saturday. The newspaper was revised; interviewed twice, once interviewed 4 Beijing citizens in Zizhuyuan Park, once in the school to interview a foreign Olympic volunteer in English; write a plan for the situation of college students' media. This draft is still in the works.

In a month, I met Xu, Gao, two teachers, and Shi, and I learned a lot from them. I also met several interns who are now my friends.

In a month, I was exposed to regular newspaper work and saw a standardized operational process. Although the harvest of the newspaper is not much, it is quite useful.

1, positioning

The education newspaper is positioned as an educator for the whole country, so the content is aimed at providing the intellectual elite with their needs. As a result, China Education News has become a leader in the education industry. Specialization is the magic weapon for the education newspaper to become stronger and better. Perhaps the circulation of the China Education News is not as good as that of the China Youth Daily, and its popularity is not as high as that of the Chinese youth. However, its advertising revenue and the treatment of journalists are far better than the former. It is because of the positioning, it is easy to surprise. On the contrary, if it is as comprehensive as other newspapers, the competition is too fierce, and it is not so easy to be irreplaceable.

Horizontally positioned in the education industry, vertical positioning is also targeted at the mainstream media. Since it is the mainstream media, major events and mainstream voices must not be lacking. Otherwise, they will be marginalized. Therefore, all the media such as the Wenchuan earthquake and the Olympic Games are reporting incidents. The Education News has also produced a number of special editions, and it has done a wonderful job.

After the latitude and longitude coordinates are precisely positioned, the next step is the subdivision work. The Cultural Weekly is published on the 4th and 5th of each week. Each page is positioned as “Humanistic Focus” – focusing on the cultural phenomenon of the times around the education, “Humanities and Art” – cultivating the beauty and beauty of the culture; “Humanities and History” – Education provides humanities and common sense; "humanities notes" - record the mind and life of the educational age.

My first sense of positioning and slogan was so clear. The humanities focus on cultural news and academic events. The humanities are the chess and paintings of Yang Chunbai Xue. The history of humanities introduces historical stories and cultural common sense. The humanities notes publish the insights and bits and pieces of teachers. The starting point for these articles is very high, because the level of quality is above the mass culture.

2, planning

Every time you report, it involves careful planning. This topic can't be obsolete, it can't be obvious, and it can't be separated. So my planning for several times has been rejected. Those who have had rich media experience can always see the timeliness and difficulty of implementation of this topic at a glance. Teacher Xu said that when the reporter is the most sad, he is planning and selecting the topic. Because you can be a reporter, the writing skills must not be a problem. The difference lies in whether you can find a good topic. I also have more than a year of experience in selecting topics at the Youth University, and it seems that it is still several levels.

Every time the topic is planned and ready to be implemented, the Education News will make a written plan. Even if it is just a version, several articles will have a detailed introduction: what articles are there, how many words are there, and what is the relationship between these articles and the whole theme. Even short, it can help all participants to clarify their direction.

3, interview

I have not studied the news systematically, but I have some practical experience in the Youth People's Congress. Therefore, interviews are also based on feelings. In the past, there were a few interviews with young people. It was very simple to determine the theme design interview outline, and then the teacher of the school could do it. Even the class was blocked at the teacher's door and asked two questions. The two interviews in the Education News gave me a deep understanding of what is called an interview.

First, give you a topic, tell you what kind of article we need, give you time and words, and leave the rest to you.

With more than 3,000 words in the manuscript, I discussed with the two interns, divided the work, and then each took on one side of the writing.

What I need to write is the impact of the Olympics on the citizens of Beijing. From the level of civilization, living habits and aspects that I did not think of. I decided to interview several Beijing citizens.

The next morning, I got up early and went to Zizhuyuan Park to visit people who exercised in the morning. There are a lot of people who exercise, I need to find people who don't look so busy, who are good at speaking, and who have a certain level of culture to tell one or two. After selecting the interview target, you should start smiling at the distance of five meters from them, and reach out and not smile. This is also a way to get closer. Sure enough, they saw me smiling and approached, and smiled and said hello to me. At first, I was a little nervous. When I came up, I went straight to the subject. I said that I am a reporter for the Education News. I am doing an article now. I want to ask them a few questions, and I have to take out the mobile phone recording. As a result, the first Obasan interviewed by me was tense. I just kept repeating how good Beijing was and how happy I was, but I couldn't tell the details. At my suggestion, I only evaluated the degree of civilization rather than description. Five minutes, I couldn't ask for anything, I had no choice but to leave. When I interviewed the second citizen, I learned the lesson. Now I watched her for a while, then went up and chatted casually, then started to enter the topic, and did not mention the recording. We talked for 20 minutes and said a lot of me. Unexpected problems, in addition to the public's simplification, there are government actions. The third person is Aunt Liu. This time she is singing a national drama. I sat next to listen for a while. After she sang, I immediately applauded, although I basically couldn’t understand. Auntie was very happy, we just sat down for a chat and talked for an hour. I didn't mention what I was doing, but just inadvertently led the topic in this direction in the chat, and the resulting information was greatly unexpected. Writing a press release is about telling a story, so the details are the most important. The interview is constantly digging into the details.

Interviewing foreign volunteers has not been so smooth. On the one hand, I am not well prepared because I did not understand the intent of the topic and did not design a valuable interview outline. Adding to the reality of the language is too unsatisfactory, many questions can not be asked or expressed, and some questions he answered I did not understand. And a fatal weakness in my interview was that I didn't ask, what he said was nothing, and the details didn't get much. This lesson is very profound, and my sense of urgency to learn English is suddenly motivated.

4, write a draft

The press release is to tell the story to the reader. So only the details and the story can really impress the reader, let the reader decide to read this article within five seconds. The articles I wrote before were either prose, comments, essays, or self-talking, but now learn to describe the details, learn to tell stories, learn to enhance the readability of the article instead of building up some self-righteousness. A deep point of view or a language that I think is beautiful. In the newspaper, I have seen countless newspapers and countless manuscripts. The language is beautiful again, the opinions are deeper, and there is no touching story. My eyes will never stay on it for more than five seconds. I will not appreciate those things that may be beautiful. Think about it, I need to pay attention to this problem when writing an article, so start with the fascinating story.

5, attitude

I thought that my opponent's things were very serious. I thought I would spare no effort to get things done. After the internship, I discovered that there is still much room for improvement in my sense of responsibility. Last time I volunteered to do the edition, even learning to take a look, finally painted a layout, and then looking for pictures everywhere, it is very hard. As a result, after the school edition, I found that on the layout of my proofreading, I was painted a lot of circles by the high teacher. I was too careless. What is even more ridiculous is that there is no problem for proofreading. After the newspaper layout is arranged, Gao teacher told me in the second week that the number of copies I made was three lines wrong. As a result, I had to re-type the people in the typesetting room on Saturday. The editor-in-chief personally signed the reissue. I was annoyed when I heard this message... There is a typo in the education newspaper page that will be deducted five yuan, and it will be punished in two fifteen, three or thirty ways. I don't know if this accident has caused losses to others... Gao teacher probably hopes that where I fell and where to climb again, and gave me a version the next day. This time I carefully draw the picture, design, and find the picture myself before the typesetting. This time there was no more error. I am very grateful to Mr. Gao for giving new people the opportunity to make mistakes and change. But on the other hand, my attitude needs to be strengthened. Nothing can be done almost to complete the task, but to the extreme, to achieve 100% perfection. I can think of what others can think of, and I have to think of what others can't think of. Keep improving, I have a deep understanding of this word.

Of course, there are many experiences involving office culture that I stay in my heart. Social media is really different from student organizations. Specialized office and management have given me a preliminary concept of efficiency and management, and I have a deeper understanding of the profession of journalism and the media. Happy to know.

This is my first internship, which also means a new starting point. Or the old Zhou's sentence: squatting young, give yourself more capital. Yes, I will not be saddened by the scent of others, because I know that in the silence, I can make a stunning appearance. I am waiting.
