A Summary of the Social Practice of College Students in Three Rural Areas in 2019
This summer, I participated in the "Star Lights" service team in Sanxia Township of South China Normal University, and the classmates came to Gongzhuang Middle School in Boluo County, Huizhou City for a 10-day trip to the countryside.
At about 4 o'clock on the afternoon of July 15th, after three hours of bumps, I came to the middle school where all the rice fields were around. The warm reception of the principal, the slightly simple dormitory, and the relatively complete teaching facilities, this is the first day of the vague impression. In the evening, in the teacher's office arranged by the school, the team's classmates are carefully preparing for the official opening of the next day. Every night thereafter, the office lights were extinguished at the latest by the school.
I started my teacher career on July 16. Through six classes and one class session, I have a summary of my performance. First, the communication with the students is more at the student level, or more like a big sister than a teacher. Although this has narrowed the distance from the students and increased the affinity of the individual, the scale of the distance between the real teacher and the student in reality is not good. Second, the lesson preparation is not sufficient. After class, I learned that there are many variables that are completely unexpected. For example, the students' existing knowledge level, the difficulty of the course and other issues have caused the situation of the problem in the class. Third, it can well coordinate the classroom atmosphere and attract students' attention. In the interpretation of doubt, novel methods can also be used to subtly interpret words.
Through this whole trip to the countryside, from the original intention to the end of doing something for those who need help, I have gained a lot: a group of cute and innocent children, a group of like-minded friends, an unforgettable experience. In this period, I also learned a lot, such as independence and strength. I have always lived under the blessing of my parents, and I have only gone to a neighboring city to study. This time, I really went to an area where the conditions were more difficult and experienced life. With those children, I can only say that I am going to experience life. Their life seems to me to be simple and almost pure, without too many demands. I also learned to be simple. In the middle school that I can look at at a glance, every day is a three-point, one-line, especially simple life, but I am very fulfilling. Enrichment, because I am needed; enrichment, because of the students' longing for the eyes; enrichment, because I am progressing with my partners.
After the end, I thought more about whether the students learned what they learned at the event. Did I really bring them some different knowledge and what would happen to them in the future. At the beginning, I thought I had done my best to guide them. Gratitude is the lesson I told them, and I want to enlighten them. What moved me was that on the class card presented by the farewell, they wrote "gratefulness." I think they have already realized my gratitude: giving`is`receiveing. Thank you, my students.
I am grateful to this trip to the countryside, gave me a chance to exercise, understand myself, understand the opportunities of others, and gave me a chance to give a dedication as well...
The three trips to the countryside really made me realize that I still have a lot of deficiencies, and I will work hard to improve.
