Metalworking Internship Summary Report

For the metalworking internship , I am greeted with a curious heart. Before that, we all just learned the knowledge in books, and the metalworking internship gave us a chance to really do it!

The teachers who met every day corrected the statement that we “learned after class”. They said that during the internship of metalworking, they should talk about “going to work”. Soon we also know the difference between "class" and "work". Sure enough, when you are facing the machine and thinking about completing your task, you have no feeling in the classroom at all, but work like a worker. In my opinion, the purpose of the internship is to exercise our hands-on ability and basic understanding of industrial knowledge. A simple m12 nut, it takes a lot of effort to know how it came from. Those who live in modern society have long been accustomed to those ready-made things. At the same time they use it, they don’t think much about how it came from. If someone asks occasionally, it will be very disapproving. This is not ours. It should be known. Now I know how naive this idea is, and thus let me know how important it is for us to have a two-week metalworking internship !

I still remember that on the first day of the metalworking internship , I took a safety education class in the morning. By watching the videotape, we learned about the dangerous actions that students are likely to make during the internship . I really don't know what to look for, just look at it! An unintentional movement or a small negligence can lead to mechanical accidents and even personal safety accidents. One film was a worker who was electrocuted and died on the spot. My impression at the time was that safety was so important to industry, that accidents not only took precious lives, but also affected social production. As an engineering student who will step into the industrial development in the future, my expectation is to improve the machine, improve the degree of automation, and improve the quality while enhancing safety.

The first real hands-on was the afternoon of the first day of the metalworking internship , and the type of work was welding. I became the team leader of our group. After listening to the teacher's detailed explanation, put on protective equipment, the teacher gave us a demonstration and started group work. The key to welding is how to guide the arc and how to move it to ensure that it does not stick and stabilize combustion. When I first tried it, I often showed sticky yarn. The master who was watching at the side came over and explained to me carefully. The original control angle and distance were all skillful. I learned a lot of things and I saw that the original metalworking internship was such a It’s going on! However, the quality of the workpiece I welded out is not good. As a first-time work, it is a pity!

The first internship that made me feel very advanced was plc. Sitting in front of the computer to program and operate the instrument, that is what the engineer looks like. In the afternoon, the main job was to design two circuits: the responder and the trolley to transport the goods. Brainstorming, I really enjoyed the metalworking internship that day! When I finished programming and the operation verification was successful, if I made a mistake, I would be very excited to discuss with the classmates where the error occurred. In the process, I corrected many errors and learned a lot of useful knowledge. What interests me a lot is the design of the intersection traffic lights. I hope that I will have the opportunity to learn and try my own design in the future.

The first job that made me feel tired was the fitter. It took a day to grind an iron rod into an m12 nut, which was a tiring job. First, flatten one side of the iron rod, then measure, cut a cylinder of about 10.5mm, then lick the other side, and then make a regular hexagon according to the standard of m12. Due to time, we did not punch. Tapping. The process of cutting alone is very painful. The first time I cut it, I came out with a cylinder with a minimum of 9mm and a length of 11mm. I couldn't help it. I had to do it again and did two jobs. It was really a waste of effort. For the second time, I have more experience. I am not in a hurry to hurry, but carefully cut while cutting. Oh, it takes a lot of effort! Also have patience and perseverance, and the students are all sweating and looking at each other with a smile. When you finish the rounded corners, get the teacher's instructions, so you can do more. Appreciating your work, a sense of pride arises. The students also watched each other's works and made fun of each other. It was a very tired and happy day.

One interesting type of work is the machining center. We first do the model on the computer, which is another job I like. Modeling is not the most fun. The best thing to do is to finish the model and have the opportunity to turn the model into a realistic workpiece with a CNC lathe. It is a pity that we only have one morning and time is not allowed.

In the milling internship , I really felt the atmosphere of the factory processing workshop. The machine roared, the huge fan rotator, the oil splash on the milling car. We are surrounded by a group of two people, and we feel that we are a worker. Watching the oil flow out constantly, cooling the tool workpiece, there is a feeling of romantic resources, I hope that our machine will save energy in the future.

The heat treatment of this kind of work left me with a lot of memories, but when I painted the metal phase diagram, I found that I still have some skills in drawing. When quenching, I am worried that I will hurt myself.

The last type of work is casting, and the classmates who finished listening said that this is a difficult job! To make those sands and muds that have no shape become what we want is to make us move our brains. It needs not only our physical strength, but also our patience, not to be sloppy!

Casting molding, it can be said that it is completely aftertaste of playing sand. But this time, besides that impulsive heart, what is more needed is to be careful and patient. It seems that the simple four-step 1 made sand type 2 sand-type 3 dozen vents 4 out of the box and the mold. But if you want to make a model that makes everyone stunned, it is impossible to get through the repeated iterations. Sometimes a wonderful pen can produce flowers, but sometimes it is because of your little repair that you can't give up! Even though we all got tired and backache in the morning, but when we saw the results of our hard work, I thought that it was not that much! It’s just that we don’t believe our own eyes, so a bunch of things can be so beautiful under our careful processing.

The first time we walked into the workshop, the first time we actually operated the machines, we were able to complete the metalworking internship smoothly and well. This is inseparable from the master of the training center, and the work style of seeking truth from facts is inseparable! Every master in the training center is so kind and amiable, all of them are so serious and enthusiastic, they are so tireless! Their embarrassing teachings make us feel like a spring breeze, and their incisive explanations make us stunned! Touched, it is my mood at this moment! Thanks, I hope I can show my mind! I sincerely thank the masters of the Huagong Industrial Training Center for their knowledge and help, care and care for the fourteen days. And thank the school for providing us with such a good environment to learn some knowledge that can't be learned in books! Thank you again!

Finally, give advice to the Industrial Training Center: I hope to provide some interesting and self-researched jobs for our students!
