He has stayed in 14 of them, including the famous Green Island Prison on the East China Sea. Due to repeated escapes and being caught back, the prison authorities had to take special measures against them. For a long time, he was always entangled and could not move. Sometimes, the prisoner nailed three pairs of 12 kilograms of ankles at the same time.

Around Christmas 1975, he was sentenced to a letter from a female college student. After reading the letter, he knew that the letter to a high school classmate was written to him. It is a pleasure to receive a letter from the prisoner, because at least it can be said that there are still people in the world who care about him. And the letter from a girl's hand will give people more imagination, at least, will also meet some of the vanity of the recipient. Anyway, in jail, he is still idle, and he will reply to her. What he himself did not think about at the beginning was that it became the beginning of a lot of communication between them.

In fact, the girl was because her brother had received some of his benefits, in order to repay him, and in order to try to save a decaying heart, she insisted on writing to him. But he was "a piece of dead wood that could not be carved." After receiving more than a dozen letters from the girl, he escaped from prison again. Of course, the result is nothing more than being caught again. He thought that the girl would not care for him anymore, but he was wrong. Since then, the girl’s letter has been thunderous, and at most, it’s almost every day. In the letter, she once said, "I am in heaven on earth, and you are a bad guy who is not evil and not rejected by the world. If you do not regard your sin as dung, we will be enemies of different worlds." I also asked, "The clothes are dirty, washed with soap; the soul of the person is filthy, what needs to be cleansed?" Slowly, an unruly heart was affected. When he received the girl’s 250th letter, he finally called it “the letter of heaven” from the heart. At that moment, he saw the sunshine of his heart.

As a result, he was fully realized - the body was in jail, the mind could not go to jail; in the trap, the thoughts would break through.

In her continued letter of encouragement, he was able to learn English in English through a chance to be with two American criminals; he repeatedly recited English words by confining a room; he asked the prison to help I found a variety of books to satisfy my hunger and thirst desire to read; he actively assisted the prison to ideologically guide other people, and even a new order appeared inside the prison. On November 19, 1979, he put on a clean dress and, for the first time, stepped out of the prison gate. There was a canvas bag around him, and there were only 500 letters she wrote to him. On the plane flying to Taipei, between the clear blue sky and the white clouds, he burst into tears.

The only one who greeted him at the Taipei Airport was her. Soon, he married her.

Then he went to the United States to study. After several years of experience, he received two degrees in American Education PhD and Doctor of Theology. In 2004, he turned his attention to the mainland and invested in the long-awaited Peking University, and pursued his third degree goal, Peking University Ph.D. The autobiography of the book, from the prisoner to the legendary life of the doctor, has been officially published. At present, the film adaptation rights of this book have been bought by a Hollywood film company in the United States. He wrote in the book, "I put up the knife to kill, but I took another knife - I hope to be a scalpel for the children who have committed crimes.", "The cliffs should be early, the prodigal son will turn back." Just work hard!", "I want to tell people who see my story, people can change."
