First, the background and significance of the research

The "Chinese School Mental Health Education Action Study" was put forward under the background of the Party Central Committee's decision to build a socialist harmonious society. We must fully understand the following four aspects.

1. The "Decision" of the Party Central Committee pointed out the direction for the research of the subject. At the same time, paying attention to promoting people's psychological harmony should also be an important task of school mental health education. The "Decision" of the Party Central Committee is the guiding ideology of our research.

2. The Ministry of Education's "Guidelines for the Guidance of China's Small Mental Health Education" put forward the task for the research of the subject. 4. School mental health education is in urgent need of action research. At present, all walks of life in China have realized the importance and urgency of school mental health education, and have carried out a lot of work on it. However, in our reality, the situation is still not optimistic, mainly because the theoretical research and practical actions of mental health education are not enough. The guiding role of theoretical research on practical actions has not been fully exerted. Therefore, in order to improve the level of mental health education in schools, it is necessary to strengthen the combination of theoretical research and practical action, and action research is the best method. Action research is produced in the field of social practice of people's actions. It refers to a series of gradual activities designed to achieve the goal of improving the quality of life and changing the situation of their own. On the other hand, they try to confirm these activities. Standards, providing prescriptions for action, systematize progressive activities. Action research is not concerned with the "theoretical" problem recognized by purely theoretical researchers in the discipline, but the practical problems encountered by teachers, students, principals, etc., which are encountered daily and urgently needed.
