Voice from the Black Mountain Village
Today is August 29, 2002, and the 15-day social practice of Heishan Village is nearing completion. Looking at the lush green hills behind the farmyard, listening to the sound of the far and near brakes, and the students who lived together for half a month, I felt very cordial and beautiful.
We live in Wangbaochuan Village, Heishan Village, Changping District, Beijing. The village is built on the hillside. The air is fresh and the scenery is beautiful. The Yanshan Mountains are here. The name of the name of the Black Mountain Village is very interesting: in the past there was a hill gate, and everyone agreed to call it "Montenegro". Later, more and more people gathered under the Montenegro, so it became a real cottage. During the Cultural Revolution, because the word "black" made some people feel "not good", then Black Mountain Village was forced to change its name to "Red Mountain Village." But how many years of friendly names can be easily modified? After the Cultural Revolution, everyone was graciously and proudly called it "Black Mountain Village." Heishanzhai has its own history. The older people in the town remember that during the War of Resistance, this place was an important battlefield, and Tanaka Kakuei once lived there. During the Cultural Revolution, the fighting in Heishan Village was very influential in Beijing, and many descendants of generals and generals died in the fighting. The history of this suffering is really unbearable. Today's Black Mountain Village was built in 1997. Heishanzhai Town consists of eight natural villages covering an area of 43 square kilometers and five or six thousand people. The population is mainly Han, and there are a few Manchus with special folk customs. In the town, except the Heishanzhai Middle School and the power station, the two units are state-owned units, and the rest are collective or private units, and the grain store has also changed from the original state-run nature to today’s individual economy. Handicrafts, industry, property and commerce in Heishan Village are relatively sluggish. The most important source of natural resources here is forestry. Banyan is the most important economic forest here. The plate grows here for a long season and has a good sweetness. Every year from September to October is the maturity of the plate, and the villagers are busy collecting the donkeys. The board of the Black Mountain Village is mainly for foreign trade exports, especially for export to Japan. The purchase price of Banyu is relatively large, which is basically changed with the supply and demand of value law. At present, the average purchase price of Banyu is RMB 7~8 yuan/kg, and the highest is even 10 yuan/kg. However, some people are pressing the price. A villager who has planted hazelnut trees for a long time said that the purchase price of Quanzhai Banyu in 2001 was RMB 4~5 yuan/kg. It is said that the average selling price of the board of the Black Mountain Village in the Japanese market is equivalent to RMB 24/kg. Heilongjiang is rich in mineral resources, rich in gold, marble, medical stone, limestone and so on. The “Shaling” mineral water is stored in the southwestern boundary of Heishanzhai, with more than 300 meters of underground ore-bearing limestone dolomite. The mineral water in the mountain is due to the ion exchange of the medical stone, which absorbs harmful substances and various bacterial groups caused by pollution in the water, and turns the water into clean active mineral water. In addition, there are also many laborers in the town of Heishanzhai who work in the city. President Wang of Heishanzhai Middle School told us that some people who work in the city have an average monthly income of 6,000-7,000 yuan, which is really a small number for the simple villagers.
During the social practice, we visited the only middle school in the town, Heishanzhai Middle School. Built in 1958, Heishanzhai Middle School, located in the western part of Heishan Village, covers an area of over 11,000 square meters. It is the most remote of the thirty-eight middle schools in Changping and one of the three pure mountain schools. At first, everyone only attended classes in a temple. After more than 40 years of development, today's Heishanzhai Middle School has passed the city-level acceptance. At present, there are 46 teachers in the school, and 31 are university or university graduates. Teachers' income is relatively stable, with an average of 1,500 yuan/month. The school never defaults on teachers' salaries. However, because there is no school-run factory in Heishanzhai Middle School, and the sponsorship is too small, office administration funds are relatively tight. President Wang of Heishanzhai Middle School introduced us to his experience: President Wang was born in 1954 and stayed in school after graduating from high school in 1973. However, with the deepening of the teaching work, President Wang’s education has gradually become insufficient. Later, President Wang went to Beijing for a half-year study, two years in college, three years in college, three years in graduate school, and now President Wang is the highest-educated person in the town. However, due to the limitations of the principal's English teaching in his youth, President Wang's English has not been closed, so he has never been rated as a senior professional title. President Wang proudly said: "Almost all the people in the village are my students." The infrastructure of Heishanzhai Middle School is better, with a voice room, a computer room, a studio, and a music classroom. The 486 computer is configured in the computer room, which is enough to complete the basic teaching tasks. Heishanzhai Middle School cares for students. After the students make mistakes, the school will give them disciplinary action. Try to sell them before graduation, and try not to dismiss the students as much as possible, so that as many people as possible can receive secondary education. A student named Liu Kuxue suffered from lupus during her school years. The school donated money to ensure the education of Cool Snow. Now she has basically recovered. As you can see, there are indeed many people who contribute to the education industry in the town, but the overall cultural quality of the villagers is still much worse than the city. At present, the education situation in the town is to strictly complete the nine-year compulsory education task. After graduating from the middle school, it is basically guaranteed to enter high school, technical secondary school or technical school to ensure that “the country does not land”.
An important part of social practice is the “household survey”. We conducted a household survey in Wangbaochuan Village. Wangbaochuan Village is located in the north of Changping, five kilometers north of Changling Town. The village covers an area of 18 square kilometers, with 270 households and 889 people in the village. The entrance to the village is connected to Changjiu Road. The mountain is vast and the vegetation is flourishing. There is a reservoir with a water volume of 100,000 cubic meters in the village area. The air quality is up to one level in all seasons, and the average life expectancy is 86.8 years. I visited two families. The first family name was Guan, Guan Agong had passed away, and only one person was at home. Guan A was born in 1938 and is now 64 years old. Guan Ai has three sons who are working in Beijing to earn money. There is a granddaughter who went to college at the Youth Politics College and had a little grandson on the Fourth Ring. Guan A's amount of wrinkles is very deep, and a pair of old hands are full of life experiences. She talked to us while washing vegetables. I asked her "red wedding". Guan Ai was married at the age of twenty. She didn’t know Guan Agong before she got married. The parents and matchmakers arranged everything for her. She felt that such a marriage was not bad, and the two had happily passed for most of their lives. Now the young people in the village are no longer asking their parents to ask too much about love and marriage, but this way is not necessarily good in Guan A. It can be seen that Guan's concept of marriage is still relatively traditional. I believe her idea must be very representative! In addition, Guan Ai and us talked about the experience of choosing a village head. When the village head was selected, the eligible people in the village received a list of the candidates. The list of several candidates was listed. They agreed to mark “○” with different meanings, and they could also abstain. But when I asked Guan A what reason to choose the village head, she said, "It doesn't matter who the villagers are, and whoever is selected is not far behind." It can be seen from the above that the electoral system in the village is more democratic, but the political quality of the villagers is not high enough to fully exercise the rights of citizens. Guan A's family has a field. It was collected by the Agong lottery when the family contract responsibility system was in 1982. Every year, the family pays a certain amount of contract fees and local taxes to the country. The rest of the income belongs to oneself. Guan Ai's family has an acre of scorpion trees, with an average income of more than 2,000 yuan per year. In addition, several sons of Guan A's son are fixed to send their living expenses to their families every month, so Guan Ai's life is more plentiful and comfortable.
I also visited a family, the masters are Pan Dashu and Pan Ayi. The two originally lived in the city of Beijing, but for various reasons, they could only abandon the life in the city, "shou squatting back to the garden." But when I came to the countryside, the two felt that the air was fresh and self-sufficient and satisfied. They rented a yard for ten thousand yuan. In the yard, I planted cucumbers, mints, gourds, apples, etc., and also raised a few chickens. On the one hand, they think that the rural living expenses are less, and they save more money than in the city; on the other hand, they think that the overall situation of rural people is poor, and they can hear their contempt for the peasants from their words. I can understand the state of their existence, but the interviews with them really make me very sad and depressed. Although they did not say their living conditions in the city, it is obvious that they are both laid off and their financial ability is not allowed to live in the city again. They are indeed people who have been eliminated by urban life. So they chose to come to the countryside, but they never forget the humble self-esteem of being a city person. But I prefer to think that they are wise. Instead of being alive and living in the city, it is better to find a place in the countryside. In fact, as a college student, we also need to find our own position. We also need to make many choices on the road of growth. Maybe we will be eliminated by some things if we are not careful. This day's interview made me suppress for a long time, which made me think a lot, but it is hard to tell the summary report.
There are also some regrets in this social practice. First of all, I personally think that I have not fully invested in life here. For the Black Mountain Village, the understanding of Chinese farmers has always been superficial. We read and play chess in the spacious farmyard, and took the road of “vacation” and “traveler” to walk the mountain road and enter the farm. Secondly, from this practice, we can see that many of the disadvantaged places in our group of college students are not strong in our body and our psychological factors are not good. And generally afraid of being tired and tired, I feel that an important condition for achieving the ideal is "not afraid of suffering." But we are often lacking in this quality.
The practice is coming to an end, and the 15 days of activities have been sorted out. There are some gains and some regrets. This episode of university life will accompany us through the way.
