Survey data

Overview:
There are 230 households with about 800 people in Zhoujia Village. The housing covers an area of about 200 mu and the cultivated land is 1,550 mu. The village has fixed assets of 1.2 million. Last year, the total output value was 12210,000 yuan, and the per capita gross income was 3,800 yuan.

Economic income status

Economic income is dominated by economic crops, supplemented by sideline businesses such as raising chickens and raising rats. Cash crop income accounts for 80% of total economic income. Cash crops include apples, vegetables, yellow smoke, peanuts, persimmons and seed production. Since 199, there have been 200 acres of orchards, 100 acres of vegetables, and 500 acres of yellow smoke. Now the yellow smoke has grown to 800 acres. After the village planning in 1990, 5,000 persimmon trees were planted in front of the house in 1992. Now each tree can earn more than 200 yuan. In recent years, 1000 persimmon trees have been planted. It is estimated that a large number of fruits will be planted next year. The seed production industry is an emerging industry, including watermelon, zucchini, tomato, and pepper. The planting area is about 200 mu, and the gross income per mu is about 10,000 yuan.

Educational status

30% of the villagers have received primary education and 3% have received higher education. There are only three high school students in the village. Today, children are limited to 8 years of school age, but 50% of children start school at the age of nine.

Living condition

According to the investigation, the villagers' food and vegetables are self-sufficient and only buy some oil, salt and meat products. Therefore, most families have a monthly living allowance of less than 200 yuan.

Second, the feelings of going to the countryside

I see rural education

When describing the educational situation in rural areas, people always use phrases such as "low school enrollment rate for school-age children", "high dropout rate", and "backward education status". This blurs the root causes of backward education and even misleads readers into the misunderstanding that "people in remote areas do not value education."

After this period of contact with the villagers, I deeply felt that the emphasis on education in rural areas is more than that in cities. Even the poorer areas have a stronger desire for education. The root cause of education lag is not the backwardness of ideas but the backwardness of the economy.

Let's look at a set of survey results. In the households we surveyed, two-thirds of households use income for their children's education. Most parents hope that their children can go to college. I still clearly I remember the simple words of the folks. When asked about the children’s learning situation, they always said: My children can be just like you. In fact, we are so hard, we don’t plan, we hope they have more Learn something, find a good way out. Remember that an old man said to us: "Where can the child go, where I am, even if I sell the iron."

Therefore, we turned our heads to think about whether a region's emphasis on education can be measured by the enrollment rate or the cultural level of the population. the answer is negative. For rural areas, the standard for judging people's emphasis on education should be the proportion of their household income to education. Although the economy in rural areas is backward, but because of backwardness, they are more eager to receive education than urban people, and they are more eager to "can go to college"! When you see the folks in Zhoujia Village eating for the children to go to school; when you hear the old man saying that "the pot sells iron, you can also go", you will also say that they do not pay attention to education, and still have a few fingers Is it a child who is out of school? ! Then, blindly giving the old and the poor and the poor areas a "not paying attention to education" and "educational awareness" hats are too arbitrary and contain certain discriminating ingredients?

Education is a heavy topic. However, only by facing education and not covering up the problem can we grasp the crux of the development of education. Since the reform and opening up, although the rural economy has developed rapidly, there is still a long way to go from the developed areas, and economic development has hindered the speed of education development. Education is also counterproductive to the economy, but in the end it must be grasped that "education is the foundation and the economy is the key" to fundamentally solve the problems in education. What should we do for this?

I offer a plan for the folks.

From the preparation for going to the countryside to the end of the countryside, my mood has experienced thousands of emotions, and the tides of the times. In the contact with the folks, we will care for us. When we are like our own children, we will feel the simple feelings of the villagers, and feel the thirst for knowledge in the countryside and the desire for prosperity. In the face of this profound friendship, we all want to do our best to contribute to the folks of Zhoujiacun. However, today we can only make some suggestions that are not mature enough while promoting the successful experience of Zhoujiacun.

In the village planning, the road was passed to the door of every household, which greatly facilitated the villagers; planting persimmon trees along the roadside not only beautified the village environment, but also increased the economic benefits for the villagers. This may be a pioneering work in China's rural planning, and it is necessary to vigorously promote it.

In terms of economic development, agriculture has developed in the direction of three-dimensional structure. Pay attention to the economic crops and increase efforts to develop high-efficiency fields while maintaining food production. This move not only ensures that the villagers are self-sufficient in food, but also increases their economic income.

The construction of spiritual civilization, combined with the villagers' simple folk customs, the village has also formulated strong rules and regulations to ensure the formation of a good atmosphere in the village and provide a strong guarantee for its economic development.

Of course, all the achievements made are inseparable from the tremendous efforts made by the village leaders and the hard work of the vast number of villagers. However, at the same time of success, they did not stop and move toward higher goals. To this end, we explore the way forward with our fellow villagers.

The folks all thought of setting up their own factory, processing the apples they produced into finished products and selling them to get higher profits. On the other hand, however, the leaders are considering to take on huge investment risks, and based on this, their dreams have not been realized. Nowadays, rural income is not high, collective funds are limited, and the risk-taking ability is extremely small. Under such circumstances, the village leaders certainly do not dare to act rashly----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Indeed, not to mention the shortage of raw materials and technical problems brought about by the fact that the base is too small, even the product sales channels are scarce. However, under the existing conditions, it is more feasible to establish a small enterprise with low input, high recovery and short operation cycle.

Now, the income of the villagers is mainly based on cash crops and high-efficiency fields. Efficient fields are used to produce seeds for foreign companies. The company provides seed and technical guidance and is responsible for recycling seeds. Villagers only need land and labor. Through this road to get rich, the villagers are harder, but by comparison, this is by far the most secure way to get rich. To this end, increasing publicity, greatly attracting foreign investment, and developing high-efficiency fields are the first choice for Zhoujiacun to become rich in recent years.
Through a few days of practice, we have found that the farmers' awareness of doing business in this area is very weak, perhaps because it is too deeply influenced by traditional concepts. At that time, it is of great significance for them to gradually change their concepts for economic development.

For the short five days, I and Zhou Jiacun had an incomprehensible plot. Perhaps as everyone said, she became my second hometown. In the future life, she will always worry about me. Sometimes I think that a person may live for some kind of emotion and live for some people. Those who are born, who I am born, who raises me, who I raise, those who love me, those who love me, this may be the reason for a person to live. The folks of Zhoujiacun! I will work for you forever in the corner of the city.

The meaning of the trip to the countryside

The participation of college students in the "three going to the countryside" activity is a continuation of the glorious tradition of "going to the society and deepening the people" pioneered by the May Fourth Youth. It is the consistent policy of combining the intellectuals with the peasants and the combination of education and production practice in the new era. The concentrated expression is the concrete action to implement the "four unifications" put forward by General Secretary Jiang Zemin in the speech of the 100th anniversary of Peking University. It is the only way for young students to grow up healthily and closely link their own values with the fate of the motherland.

After we have studied at university, we must become a useful talent for modernization as soon as possible and adapt to the needs of society. We must actively participate in social practice activities, understand the society, recognize our own social position, clarify our historical mission, and stimulate ourselves during the study period. Your own learning enthusiasm, adjust and improve your knowledge structure, overcome all kinds of difficulties and setbacks, exercise will and perseverance, and prepare for the future work. This is one of the purposes of my participation in the "three countryside" activities.

Grasping the favorable opportunity to participate in various forms of summer "three rural areas" activities, to guide us in accordance with the "four unifications" demanded by Comrade Jiang Zemin, to unify the study of book knowledge and commitment to social practice, consciously walk and practice Combine the road with the people's people, strive to shorten the distance between growth and social needs, improve the ability to solve practical problems, and see the world in the places where reform, opening up, and modernization are most needed. Long talents are of great significance. .

The "three going to the countryside" of college students is conducive to understanding the national conditions. We were born in the wave of reform and opening up and grew up in the era of Deng Xiaoping Theory's continuous development. The understanding of the primary stage of socialism and the understanding of reform and opening up are difficult to obtain from the classroom alone. Therefore, we must go to the society, go deep into the countryside, understand the status quo of farmers who account for 80% of the country's population, understand their thoughts and thoughts, and truly deepen their understanding of Deng Xiaoping Theory in practice and deepen their understanding of reform and opening up.

The "three going to the countryside" of college students is conducive to the inspection of the people. The emotional nourishment in the honesty and the simple folk customs is difficult to achieve in the book; the power of the poor mother's face and the desire of the children in the eyes of the school are hard to take from the campus. Walking out of the ivory tower, integrating into the solid land, close to the hearts of the peasants, will you really feel the hardships of farming and the joy of harvesting, and will truly implant the roots of growth into the fertile soil of the motherland.

The "three going to the countryside" of college students is conducive to the growth of talents. Adhering to the unity of studying book knowledge and social practice, taking the road of combining theory with practice has always been an effective way for young people to exercise and grow. Social practice is the source of knowledge innovation and the standard for testing truth. Going to the places where the motherland needs it most, tempering the will, using the character, using the learned knowledge for practice, and continuing to learn and improve in practice, can truly become a useful talent for society.

Practice has fully proved that social practice has promoted the all-round development of college students. Through social practice activities, we have been truly infected and experienced from extensive contact, understanding and communication with the people, and have been deeply inspired and educated from countless examples of living and living, which have led to the sublimation of ideas and increased social responsibility. In practice, our outlook on life and values have been further strengthened, and our ability to recognize, adapt and innovate has been enhanced.
