Among them, the proportion of urban residents who have accidentally traveled is as high as 84.4%, an increase of 6.3 percentage points over the same period last year. Second, the proportion of “provincial travel abroad” has increased significantly, and the “Hong Kong and Macao Tour” in the outbound tour is unique.

Among the urban residents who are interested in traveling during the Spring Festival Golden Week, the proportion of “provincial travel” was 7.6%, which was 2 percentage points higher than the same period of last year. Among the urban residents who chose “provincial tourism”, the proportions of the southwest tour, east China tour and northeast tour were 3.3%, 2.4% and 1.5% respectively, which were 0.9, 0.9 and 0.6 percentage points higher than the same period of last year. It is expected that the number of visitors from Hong Kong and Macau will grow by more than 60% compared with the same period last year. In Hong Kong and Macao, the proportion of "free travel" was 93.3%, an increase of 15.9 percentage points over the same period of last year. The proportion of travel agents who chose to travel to Hong Kong and Macao dropped further from 6.6% in the same period last year to 6.7%.

3. “The city tour” and “outside the city” have grown slightly, but the proportion has declined.

The survey also showed that urban residents in Guangzhou are expected to have a population of 2.4 million, which is slightly larger than the same period last year. It is estimated that the total cost of “this city tour” will reach 790 million yuan, a 20% increase over the same period of last year, which is bound to drive the growth of related consumption. It is estimated that the number of urban residents participating in “outside the city” will reach 1.2 million, an increase of 4.7% over the same period last year. Among them, Shenzhen and Zhuhai tours accounted for 16%, Zhaoqing Tour was 20.2%, Qingyuan was 14.1%, Shaoguan was 10.8%, Zhanjiang was 2.8%, and others were 36.1%.

Although the “this city tour” and “outside the province” have grown overall, the proportion has declined, mainly due to the increase in the proportion of provincial tourism and Hong Kong and Macau tourism. Among the urban residents in this city who are interested in traveling during the Spring Festival Golden Week, the proportion of those who choose “the city tour” is 57.6%, which is 3.3 percentage points lower than the same period of last year. The proportion of “outside the province” is 29.0%. Compared with the same period last year, it dropped by 0.4 percentage points.

Among the prospective travellers during the Golden Week of the Spring Festival this year, the number of self-guided tours that choose “individuals or families” and “come with friends and relatives” in the travel mode accounted for 95%, which was 0.6 percentage points lower than the same period of last year; The proportion was 0.1%, down 0.2 percentage points year-on-year; while the choice of “travel agency”, the proportion of participating groups was 4.9%, an increase of 0.8 percentage points over the same period last year. As the total number of people traveling in the Golden Week has increased compared with the same period of last year, it is expected that the number of urban residents participating in the tour will increase by more than 20% compared with the same period of last year.

In terms of choosing to travel, the citizens still travel by car, but due to the decline in the proportion of “this city tour” and “outside the city”, the proportion of cars has dropped by 2.8 percentage points over the same period of last year. The proportion of vehicles that are more suitable for long-distance travel, such as trains, airplanes, and ships, was 8.6%, 4.2%, and 0.9%, respectively, up 0.9, 0.9, and 0.7 percentage points over the same period last year. In addition, among the various types of transportation vehicles, the most prominent increase in the proportion is the “self-driving” approach. Its share is 14.7%, an increase of 1.1 percentage points over the same period last year.

The per capita travel time of urban residents was 3.17 days, an increase of 0.25 days compared with the same period of last year. The increase in the proportion of overnight stays of residents and the increase in the average number of days of travel is directly related to the increase in the proportion of Hong Kong and Macao tourists and the proportion of tourism outside the province.

In addition, the survey results also show that the proportion of urban residents who have chosen to travel multiple times during the Golden Week has increased. Among them, the proportion of choice of 3 times or more is 30.9%, up 8.1 percentage points; and the proportion of choosing one time is 40.1. %, the proportion of 2 times was 29.0%, down 6.9 and 1.2 percentage points respectively.
