Personality Hotel--Hong Kong Hotel Investigation Report

Zhang Yipeng
If Picasso and Matisse, Van Gogh and Gauguin, their works are a style; if France's Versailles and Tibet's Potala Palace are exactly the same; if the Yellow River and the Yangtze River flow the same clear water; After entering the world, all people grow the same face, and it is hard to imagine what the world will look like. The world without personality is boring and glory. The world is full of people, and it is wonderful because of personality. The creation of the hotel’s artistic atmosphere is even more so, and the hotel with its unique artwork is the first class hotel! Different from others, outstanding and unconventional, can be proud of peers. This visit to Hong Kong hotels made me feel more profound about this experience.
The delegation was a total of 14 people, all of whom came from hotels across the province. There are 4 people in our library, each of whom is responsible for different inspection tasks. I am mainly responsible for the investigation of the hotel's artistic atmosphere.
Hong Kong is the first time to go. Little is known about the hotel industry in Hong Kong. Before leaving, the understanding of Hong Kong came from film and television works or news reports, and the impression of drunkenness was lingering. When we arrived, we realized that Hong Kong is not a cultural desert we imagined. Hong Kong hotels are full of personality and high artistic position.
When we arrived in Hong Kong, we stayed at the five-star Shangri-La Hotel, Hong Kong Island. When I stood in the cloister of the hotel and looked up at the frescoes of the Jinbi landscape, there was a long-lost shock. It is the place where Shangri-La is the best place to bring and use the things of the ancestors. Entering the Shangri-La Hotel, from the subtle furniture carvings to the magnificent pillar domes, all of them are full of artistic atmosphere. The murals of the large Jinbi landscape have always been the main line. The hotel's brochures, service guides, TV guides and most of the hotel supplies are printed with a part of the murals. The image is highly unified and the hotel features are highlighted. cultural connotation. In a sense, the huge murals became the soul of the ruling hotel. The hotel's choice of color, lighting and art is very harmonious, mutually supportive and complementary, and each other is an inseparable whole.
Most of Shangri-La's artworks are serialized, such as glazed works, which look uniform in style, but carefully appreciate, there are subtle differences in style and color, form a sense of form from the quantity, seek change from the individual, increase the level of the work. sense. Most of the hotel's paintings are original works, with few copies, although not all famous works, but each one has the author's autograph.
The hotel we went to also had the peninsula and Jinyue. The lobby of Jinyue is magnificent, the overall tone is dignified, solemn, and a lot of black and gold are used, which is very royal. The most impressive thing is the Peninsula Hotel, which is magnificent and tasteful. The environment is not the NO.1 of Hong Kong hotels. The artwork of the Peninsula Hotel is very elegant, and the nuances are full of luxury and honor. There are not many artworks in post-modern style, and the traditional, classical atmosphere is very strong. The furniture and crafts placed in the rooms are old and old, much like the objects of the old age. However, the hotel's facilities are very modern, functional, simple and modern. The traditional style of furniture contrasts with the modern high-tech room facilities, making the hotel look distinguished and not old-fashioned, traditional yet stylish, fun and fascinating.
I came back from Hong Kong and re-entered the art design of the second phase of the project. I felt a lot. What is missing from our hotel? What direction should we choose for future art design? What should be the characteristics of our hotel? I have thought a lot and I have learned a lot. Our second phase of the project is designed by the British, reflecting the British style and a strong European style. This style is very similar to the Beijing International Club, which should reflect the feeling of luxury, honor and grandeur. Under this kind of structure, how to be unique and to promote individuality is the first thing we must consider. If the artwork is completely unified with the surrounding environment, the atmosphere will be dull, boring and lacking in spirituality. We should look for a point of convergence. Under the premise of overall unification, we can change the style locally. We can consider setting up some post-modern decorations or abstract paintings that pay attention to form in some small environments.
In general, we have to establish a main line of design, so that the entire hotel's art is scattered. We must dare to break through and boldly use some modern performance techniques to design a collection of new and unique styles, visual impact, high-grade art, and make our hotel. Let our artwork infect every guest who enters the hotel and make them feel refreshed. I hope our hotel will be unique in the modern hotel forest.
Building an art space and shaping a personalized hotel is our vision and our goal, and we are working hard for it.
