The Jiangsu-Zhejiang area has always been a relatively developed region in China's economy. Its market economy is relatively high, and people's ideas and concepts are relatively more open. In order to understand the new ideas and new ideas of students in the southern schools in the current period, and to broaden our own horizons, our four students in the Department of Student Affairs have used six days and traveled thousands of kilometers across the two provinces and one city. The Shanghai Electromechanical School, Zhejiang Mechanical School, Changzhou Light Industry School, and Wuxi Machinery Manufacturing School conducted four study tours. Everywhere we went, we were warmly welcomed and received by the brothers' school. We introduced the school leaders through a comprehensive introduction, discussions with the teachers, classmates and field visits, and asked for a lot of information. . During the visit, the journey was hard, but our gains were also great, broadening our thinking and establishing our confidence in our future work.
The biggest feeling of our visit is that the basic ideas of the education management of students in the South and the North are consistent, and there is no big difference. All schools believe that under the current fierce market competition conditions, strengthening students' political and ideological education, strict management and requirements, and thus improving the overall quality of students, is still the fundamental task of student work. This dispels some of the incorrect ideas of our past. In the past, we always thought that the schools in the south were extensively open, and they were more open to students' management and requirements, even laissez-faire. Actually, the opposite was true. Some aspects were more "dead" than we were, and even more detailed. By comparison, on the whole, the work of all aspects of our school is different from that of the four schools. It is not backward. This makes us understand the position of our school in similar schools across the country. The key point is to It is desirable to use the mirror back for us to further strengthen our work.
Below, we will introduce the more distinctive aspects of the four schools for reference by the relevant comrades. They are similar or similar to our school, and even lag behind us.
• Shanghai Mechanical and Electrical School
The school was founded in the 1950s. At present, there are more than 2,600 students and 61 classes, including more than 1,800 students. There are 320 faculty members and 140 teachers, and there are more retired employees.
We walked into the campus, the campus was clean and tidy, and the greening was very good. During the visit, we found that the teaching building, the experimental building, and the student dormitory are all old-fashioned buildings, which are somewhat worn out.
The impression is that the school dormitory is dirty, chaotic, poor, and the air is not good; students eat in the big auditorium, the desktop, the ground, and the leftovers are everywhere. These two jobs seem to be very bad.
The school cafeteria has a very good meal, with a wide variety of food, good quality and low price.
The student work of the school implements the so-called "secondary management", that is, "student department, professional department". The school divides the professional department into three professional departments—Electromechanical Professional Department, Computer and Control Professional Department, Basic and Management Professional Department. Each professional department has director, deputy director, branch secretary, and branch secretary is mainly responsible for student work.
In this management structure, the student section under the leadership of the principal is the “master of the principal's office”, and the functional department becomes the “coordination and service” department. More specific education and management work is provided by the “professional department”. Be responsible for. According to the secretary of the branch of the Ministry of Professional Affairs, this kind of management method has better solved the problem of disconnection between "education and teaching". The professional department will coordinate the teaching and student work. The teacher must not only teach good lessons, but also bring good classes. It is necessary to participate in various management activities of the students, the appointment of teachers, the appointment of class guides, wages and bonuses, etc., and all the funds are drawn down to the professional department for accounting. According to the student section chief, their work content is relatively simple and easy, the students' routine management and various educational activities, the student section should be managed, but the professional director and branch secretary are more anxious than them. The assignment of students is also the responsibility of the various professional departments, and the distribution of the role of coordination services.
We feel that this kind of management method can better solve the problem of "education and teaching" disjointed, and mobilize the enthusiasm of the "education" of the teachers. However, the management of the long-term, the responsibilities are unclear, and even the whole school is inconsistent. And cause confusion; multi-link management, too many nodes, is not conducive to uploading, information communication is not smooth, it is difficult to guarantee the effect.
In order to solve the problem of lodging students, the school has set up a dormitory office. Every day, in addition to the cadre on duty, it is also required to have one male and one female. The class guide must be night shift. The school has a greater incentive for the assessment of the class guide. In the one-year work appraisal, it is among the best, and the performance will be outstanding. The school will promote him to the first-class salary for encouragement, and the time limit is one year. From Shanghai Electromechanical School, we have learned that Shanghai has a unified “Student's Comprehensive Assessment of Students' Morality and Appreciation System”, which provides students with comprehensive quantitative assessments of daily thoughts, behavioral norms and learning, as evaluation, performance level, and scholarship evaluation. 2. Zhejiang Machinery Industry School
The school covers an area of ​​60 mu, with 3,000 students, 204 faculty members, 104 teachers, 53 administrative and logistics personnel, and the rest are independent school-run factory employees.
We came to the school under the leadership of the school director and visited the entire facility in more detail. The school campus is clean and tidy, the environment is beautiful, the teaching building is also very clean, and the first impression is very good. The fly in the ointment is that the student dormitory is messy and has a bad taste.
According to the director of the school, the school has been relocated by the provincial government and moved to the suburbs.
We had a discussion with teachers and students. We learned that the school has three prominent aspects: First, the reform of the whole school is more intense; second, the students' self-education is very good; the third is the strictness of the class assessment.
Since 1994, the school has carried out comprehensive reforms centered on “personnel, distribution, and teaching” for three consecutive rounds. Some people were laid off after the reform. The administrative and logistics staff of the school were very streamlined. The school-run factory and the three-factory independent accounting were conceited. Profit and loss; teaching department teaching management is also very standardized, the external teachers school has a huge "talent pool", the school has a large choice of room, which can strengthen the management of external teachers, and better solve the professional teacher problems.
Self-education, self-service and self-management of students are a more important part of student work. The Student Affairs Section of the Youth League Committee is a department. The class guide should do 60% of the work, and the content of the appraisal is similar to ours. From the perspective of their class assessment, many places are worthy of our borrowing and learning. 3. Changzhou Light Industry School
The school's overall impression is clean, tidy, standardized, and fully equipped. The campus covers an area of ​​150 acres, which is very beautiful and wide. The school has more than 3,600 students, 240 faculty members and 120 teachers. The school gives full play to the role of the class leader, and each grade level carries out a variety of educational management activities based on their respective characteristics.
During the discussion with the leaders and teachers, we realized that the school has a sense of urgency in its work. They believe that only high-quality, competent, and qualified students can create their own brands. Therefore, they propose to build a national key secondary school with first-class schools, first-class equipment, first-class quality, and first-class benefits. The student section chief said that because their school has a high reputation in Jiangsu Province, there are many units for graduates at present, and the students are also well-distributed. However, this situation will not last long and will be prepared for danger. As for the student source problem, the head of the student said that the farmers in the region have begun to pay less attention to the hukou and attach importance to work and employment. Therefore, solving the problem of the student’s whereabouts will be related to the development of the school.
The students of the school work more comprehensively. In order to solve the problem of special hardship students, they have established a “helping fund”. The school has set up 60,000 yuan each year, and the female labor union has initiated it. Each teacher injects 10 yuan into the fund every month. In addition to factory fundraising, successful graduates sponsoring schools, etc., they have better solved the problem of poor students. 4. Wuxi Machinery Manufacturing School
Wuxi Machinery Manufacturing School is the last stop for us to study and study.
The school has more than 3,100 students, all of whom live on campus and 70 classes. The school is also an old school with complete facilities and a good experimental internship at the school. They have built “industrial centers” to make professional internships closer to the actual situation of the factory; according to their thinking, the professional equipment used by their graduates is the most advanced in the industry. After the students arrive at the unit, they can immediately engage in production, so they Graduates have taken over two-thirds of the employment needs of businesses in the region. They often invite leaders of regional enterprises to visit their management and teaching, pay attention to propaganda themselves, and public relations in the whole society are better.
The school's class guide is assessed twice a semester, and each time a bonus is awarded based on the results of the assessment. Usually, the allowance is paid on a monthly basis, and each class is 20 yuan per month.
The school has established a "party member contact class system" and "professional section chiefs with a class guide." Each party member must become a deputy class leader of a class and participate in activities such as student ideological education. The other aspects of the school work similarly to us, such as the student dormitory work, basically the same as us, the effect is not bad.
The above is the basic situation of the four schools in the south. The various aspects mentioned are only general refinements. The actual content is many, and some are even quite cumbersome. On the individual side, we feel that it will be difficult to implement from the perspective of the system. In terms of work ideas and programs, a very complete system and system does not necessarily have an effect. The key is how much can be implemented. A work reform, "it must be good-looking and delicious," and it must be effective. This is the feeling that we have come into contact with the four different management ideas and educational methods of the four schools. Therefore, we only use our own criticism and combine ourselves. Realistic trade-offs.
