Summary of English Teaching Work in the Last Semester of 2012-2013 Academic Year
In this semester, I worked as an English teacher in five classes of the fourth grade. The teaching work of this semester is summarized as follows:
I. Analysis of the situation of English learning
1. The overall learning foundation and study habits are better than the third grade. Students are more accustomed to my teaching methods and teaching systems and measures. However, the students who did not pass the original postgraduate students and the new students who did not have basic foundations still had poor grades and serious polarization. The situation is not optimistic.
2. Some difficulties in teaching
Compared with the third grade, the fourth grade textbooks have greatly improved the difficulty, especially let'stalk, the teaching tasks are very heavy, the teacher teaching , and the students accept it is more difficult, plus a week of less class, The multi-capacity content of the text, the pace of the class is very tight, and the time for students to review is relatively reduced.
Second, teaching work
1. I pay attention to cultivating children's English learning interest, cultivating and exercising children's listening and speaking ability from all aspects, using all opportunities to let children practice listening and speaking, and create all opportunities to speak English. Sometimes when learning the usage of a certain sentence pattern or certain words, use the real thing to play and teach like a game. For example, when learning the sentence "whereisit?", the prepositions in, on, under, you can hide a pen in a place, let the students close their eyes to guess. Let the students guess "isitin/on/under..."? If you answer the question, you will be rewarded. This makes students both enjoy learning and easy to master.
2. In teaching , preparing lessons is an indispensable and important part. Preparing students and preparing for teaching. Inadequate preparation or poor preparation will seriously affect the classroom atmosphere and enthusiasm. It is difficult to master the teaching content and key points of each lesson during the preparation of the lesson. At the same time, it is necessary to adopt different teaching methods according to the actual situation of the students . In addition, teachers must have sufficient spirit in class every day, which is easier to drive students' enthusiasm.
3. Cultivate students' good study habits in a timely manner. Read more before class. Students are required to concentrate on the class and really understand what the teacher is saying. In the writing work, students are allowed to copy sentences. When there is no case of case, they will analyze the students in time, pay attention to the students to write the normative training after the class is carefully completed, and do not understand the place, more to the teacher or Good student advice.
Third, the shortcomings
1. Lack of assignments. I failed to do a good job of checking the work. For the team leader, the class representative lacked the praise and supervision mechanism, which caused some students to often do not finish the work on time. Some oral work was not effective.
2. Because of the special circumstances of English, students are constantly learning, and there is a phenomenon of good and bad differentiation, which has greatly affected the learning atmosphere in the class. I only hope that students can learn consciously and do not strictly urge these students to review and check after class. Therefore, they must not be neglected in the future. Specific plans and goals should be developed to provide counseling for these students.
Since every teacher, especially an English teacher, is constantly improving and innovating his own teaching , it is difficult to have failures and detours. However, I firmly believe that only by continuous innovation and practice can we make progress and improve education and teaching . This is me.
