Summary of mental health education work


In response to the call of the school to strengthen the mental health education of college students, since the establishment of the four-level network of self-school psychological crisis intervention, under the guidance of the school mental health education center, under the extensive participation of the students in the whole school, the communication college combined with the student reality, organized The development of a variety of activities in various forms and forms has enhanced the effectiveness of mental health education and helped students develop good psychological quality, which has a positive impact on creating a healthy, optimistic and positive campus atmosphere. In the 08-09 school year, we worked with the school's mental health center, through routine work and special activities to prevent psychological problems and do a good job in case consultation. The details are as follows:

First, in coordination with the school's mental health education center.

1. Assist in the relevant work of the 5.25 Mental Health Festival.

In the first Mental Health Festival of our school, we and the School of Management and Economics co-hosted the excellent psychological film exhibition activities of “Heart with Shadow”. During the event, we selected four psychological films such as "The Sea Pianist", carefully produced posters, contacted the classroom, and screened for everyone. Before the screening, the students of the Radio and Television Directorate of the Association of Hearts of the Institute briefed the audience on the connotation of the film and guided the students to appreciate the film from a psychological perspective. In addition, we also organized the audience to write a film after the impression, and invited our school radio and television director professional teachers to judge and select outstanding works.

2. Establish a psychological file and do a case consultation

Under the unified guidance of the school mental health education center, earnestly do a good job in the establishment of mental health records for 2011 freshmen. By organizing the archive data, we have carried out the psychological knowledge popularization work for the common problems of the new students; for the students with serious psychological problems, we promptly give feedback to the counselors of the students, and through the communication of the counselors and teachers, find the crux of the students. Do a case-by-case consultation and focus on the development of the student in the school, and find problems in a timely manner.

Second, increase the intensity of work to do a good job in mental health education and psychological crisis prevention for college students

As the majority of college students have better mental health, our main job is to prevent mental health from happening by focusing on psychological associations, psychological committee members, and spiritual escorts to develop mental health knowledge and quality development. Mainly through the following work:

1. Rely on the formation of psychological associations and advocate self-service

In June 2019, in order to stimulate students to actively pay attention to mental health, the college established a psychological association under the guidance of a psychological counselor. Since the establishment of the association, the association has established a relatively complete system. The collection has established the name of the association, the “Heart of Mind Psychology Association” and the logo, and has drawn up the association's articles of association, and has determined the purpose of the work, the establishment of the organization, and the division of functions. Members of the association include psychological committee members, mental escorts in each dormitory, and students interested in psychological knowledge. In accordance with the principle of fair competition, the association campaigned for the heads of working groups such as secretaries, research, and planning. Since the establishment of the association, regular work and special activities have been carried out in an orderly manner. The research team regularly investigates the psychological situation of the students, and reports the psychological counselors in the regular meetings, and then seeks solutions according to the teacher's guidance. The association also increased the publicity of mental health education through special activities such as “Psychological Activity Month” to improve students' attention to mental health. The establishment of the psychological association laid a good foundation for the psychological work of the college.

2. Grasp the backbone training and lay a solid foundation for work.

The psychological work of the college is mainly carried out and implemented by the psychological committee members and the mental escorts. They are the backbone of the psychological work of the college, and whether their work is in place is related to the psychological work of the entire college. In order to improve their professional quality in psychological work, the college organized several psychological committee training lectures. During the training, the teacher of the psychological counselor of the college introduced the four-level prevention system of the psychological crisis intervention of our school and the duties and work requirements of the psychological committee, and combined with the case to introduce how to scientifically and reasonably prevent and solve the common psychological problems of college students, and expand the psychology of the psychological committee. Knowledge, the method of guiding the psychological committee to carry out work and the emphasis on confidentiality and other working principles. The students who participated in the training listened attentively and carefully recorded the results and achieved good results. After attending the training, a psychological committee member said: "As a psychological committee member, I am very happy to receive professional training. This is very beneficial for both the improvement of personal psychological quality and the development of class mental work. After training, I am more interested in my work."

3. Focus on educational effectiveness and enrich the activity carrier

Every semester, the college conducts psychological knowledge in stages through collection of questions, posters, and theme classes. After the start of the semester, in order to help the 08 freshmen to adapt to the university life faster and better, and help the 07 and 06 students to resolve their distress and doubts in time, the association sent to the students of the 06, 07 and 08 grades. Invitation letter, invite everyone to participate in the "most confused about their psychological problems" collection activities. The event received positive feedback from everyone. Everyone wrote the psychological problems that made them most confused and gave them back to the association in a timely manner. The association seeks solutions through various channels such as responding to psychological counselors and teachers, using online resources to query materials, consulting with psychologists, and promptly giving feedback to everyone. Under the guidance of the general branch of the regiment, the classes also held theme classes such as “sense of life”, “friendship of peers”, “how to shape a successful mentality” and “how to face the exam correctly” to help students further improve their psychological quality.

4, create a special event, a strong psychological atmosphere

From November 2019 to early December, the college organized a special activity of “Psychological Activity Month”. During the activity month, various activities were carried out for the whole class, and the students participated actively. The series of activities include four films of "Best of Hearts and Shadows", "Psychological Health Training", "Happy Experience Square" game, and "Happy Forward" psychological knowledge competition. In the weekly issue of "Heart and Shadow", a total of four films including "Beautiful Mind" were screened to guide students to watch the film from a psychological perspective, to stimulate thinking about life, and to organize students to write a sense of post-view. In the “Happy Experience Square” section, through the psychological games of solving bracelets, arranging birthdays, speaking and singing, the individual is encouraged to improve team consciousness, communication ability and organizational belonging through the internal interaction of the group and improve themselves. After the game, some students said that through psychological games, they can not only deepen mutual understanding between students, but also learn a lot of psychological knowledge while enjoying happiness and relaxation. In the “Spirit of Hearts” lecture, the teachers of the psychological counselors of the college conducted psychological knowledge popularization and psychological work training for the psychological committee members and psychological navigators of each class to give full play to the professional functions of the psychological committee members. The “Happy Forward” campaign is divided into indoor and outdoor: outdoor activities are carried out on campus, relying on the solidarity and cooperation of team members to complete tasks such as path exploration and treasure hunt, and determine the teams participating in indoor activities according to the time used. The indoor part is a psychological knowledge contest. The competition examines the professional mental health knowledge of the participating students, so that the students who like the psychological knowledge are fully displayed, and the mental health knowledge is promoted and popularized among the students. The psychological activity calendar lasted nearly forty days, and the activities were diverse. There were many students and they were widely welcomed by the students.

Third, scientifically carry out case counseling work

For students with psychological abnormalities, the counselors of all grades will consult the college counselor's status and the four-core counseling method, and further intervention. For those who are not effective after the intervention, the psychological counselor directly conducts psychological counseling. Over the past year, a total of more than 20 cases have been consulted, involving family poverty, inferiority, love, interpersonal communication, and psychological problems caused by physical reasons. The effect was good after consultation.

In the past year, through the combination of regular work and special activities, through the combination of group activities and case consultations, the School of Communication has insisted on the long-term development of mental health education, and strived to improve the effectiveness of work. At the same time, as a psychological counselor, There is also a little feeling. Through the training of junior counselors, psychological counselors have increased their understanding of the basic theories and basic methods of psychology, and have played a very good guiding role in the development of mental health education. However, with the deepening of the work, the level of psychological counselors is still insufficient, especially the level of skills such as diagnosis and counseling is low. I hope that the leaders of the Mental Health Center will provide reference materials such as counseling and skill counseling and recommended bibliography for psychological counselors.
