Summary of English Speaking Teaching in the Second Semester of 2019


The semester's oral teaching task is coming to an end. Even if the college does not ask for it, it is necessary to make a summary now, which is very important for a growing and progressive Chinese language teacher. I want to be able to leave something for myself after the end of each work.

I am very fortunate to have the opportunity to be a first-year oral course at the University of Chinese Language School. I am very grateful to the trust of the leadership and handed me such an important task. I am very grateful to the school for giving me the space for the growth of newborns in the Chinese language teacher industry. Therefore, I attach great importance to this teaching task and I cherish it. This is mainly reflected in the following aspects:

First of all, I will be prepared carefully before each class, and I will go to the dictionary if I am not sure. I know very well that the subjects I teach are not ordinary Chinese learners, but future Chinese professionals. Correct is the first. This is of course the first thing every teacher should pursue, but it is important for Chinese professionals who teach the future. If they have learned the wrong things, they cannot be forgiven by society.

Second, arrive at the classroom ten minutes before class. From the teaching experience and teaching age, I still belong to the lowest level. In the case that the teaching level can not reach the expert level in a short time, all I can do is to maintain the image of the teacher. There is a saying in China that "what to do with what to do." This is a prerequisite for doing anything well.

Once again, actively communicate with students during the class to understand their learning and living conditions. It is also a teacher's responsibility to love students and care for students. Help them, let them live without worry, no distractions, and use them in learning is also what teachers should do. Communicate with students, find students' interest, and improve their teaching methods.

In addition to the above performance, the teaching practice of this semester has given me more important improvement in psychological understanding.

During the semester's work, I gradually realized that to be a good teacher - students like it, the quality of teaching is high - and most importantly, "attentively." Teaching activities are also creative activities. To make every class, we must create it with care. Create innovative classroom expressions, create teaching methods that stimulate student interest, and use flexible teaching methods. What the class needs is not a book-teacher who instills knowledge, but a drama actor who can let the students unwittingly enter the story. Teaching is like performing a drama. In class, our task is to guide students into the story and let them act independently as a role, so that they feel that everything on the platform is watery and not artificial. To achieve this level, of course, you need to prepare carefully, one minute on the stage, and ten years of work. The process of preparing lessons is to feel the process of virtual classroom. Every aspect of the class must be felt in advance. Preparing lessons requires us to be seamless.

Things that are of interest can be “intentional” and can be done well. Work is a very important part of people's lives. Time is the way of existence of material movement, work is the dynamic power of life, and ideal work is the condition for the active and healthy existence of life. In addition to its ability to make us feel good, it is still our important way of being. So we have to choose the work we like so that we can think of work as the meaning of life. It makes sense to be alive when you are alive. Choosing a teacher is because I love it. Being with the students will make me happy. I especially like to communicate with people from all over the world and from different countries, which will make my life enjoyable and fulfilling. I like this kind of work.

If you have a variety of reasons, you can't choose the job you like. In fact, many times, we hate this work because the preconceived aversion prevents us from enjoying it. Then take it first, and after a while you will slowly like it. Just like you don't like gray, please tell yourself many times, "The gray is so beautiful, how beautiful the gray is," and then carefully examine and taste. Slowly, you will change your opinion on it. We don't like it because we don't invest enough and don't know enough about him. Regardless of what you do, attitude is important.
