The key to improving the quality of teaching is to take good classes. In order to get a good class, I did the following work: preparation before class, preparing for class.

1 Carefully delve into the teaching materials, clear the basic ideas and basic concepts of the textbooks, understand every sentence and every word, understand the structure of the teaching materials, focus and difficulty, master the logic of knowledge, use it freely, know what materials should be added, and how Can teach well.

2 Understand the quality of students' original knowledge and skills, their interests, needs, methods, habits, what difficulties may be encountered in learning new knowledge, and take appropriate preventive measures.

3 Consider the teaching method and solve how to pass the mastered materials to the students, including how to organize the teaching materials and how to arrange the activities of each class. The foundation of the second year of high school is still relatively poor, so I try to teach in the simplest language in the classroom, and strive to let the students master the best in a certain period of time. It is very boring in the review process, so the students are encouraged to learn in the classroom. Interest in English is especially important. Interest is the best teacher. With interest, students will develop curiosity and regard learning as fun, not burden. Only by cultivating students' interest in teaching and enhancing the teaching effect can we avoid polarization in future learning. The English class is both the main battlefield for learning knowledge and the training center for internalization skills, but the limited time does not allow students to fully take these skills and knowledge into their own and digest them. Using a certain amount of time to review and consolidate learned knowledge, training corresponding skills is an indispensable part of improving learning efficiency. My specific approach is to link language teaching with practice. When class is in class, try to combine current affairs and hotspots, and tell students about news, humor, and other aspects of politics, history, and society. After class, do more contact with students, understand the needs of students, and their mastery of the knowledge in the classroom. And after the class, arrange students to do some comprehensive skills. For example, two reading comprehension and one day. Fill in the blanks. And I will carefully design the corresponding after-school exercises in the teaching , so that the students can achieve the application. If the classroom learns some basic language points, I will give the students some training to help the students consolidate. Without the review of the after-school exercises, the learning effect will be greatly reduced and the efficiency will not be high. The lectures are lively and interesting. When I was teaching, I tried to be lively and interesting. While completing the teaching tasks, I often interspersed with some English songs and movie clips to stimulate students' interest in learning.

After class, I actively participated in the lectures, humbly learning the teaching methods from the peers, learning from others, and improving the teaching standards. Cultivate a variety of hobbies, go to the library to read a lot of books, and constantly expand the knowledge, inject fresh blood into the teaching content.

This semester, reading accounts for a large proportion of English, especially exams. The reading ability of the students in the two classes I taught is not particularly good. Reviewing reading comprehension in the future is a key point. I should pay attention to the following points during the review:

1. Improve the reading capacity of students. Reading speed requires 48.5 words per minute or more.

2 The subject matter of training should be diversified. Including daily life, customs, biographies, cultural education, society, history, science and technology, politics, and economics. Can't be limited to a certain subject.

3 genre diversity. Including explanatory texts, narratives, argumentative papers, application papers, etc.

4. Let them understand the main types of reading comprehension.

5. Master the necessary reading and understanding skills.

In general, pay attention to the narrative 5w and 1h; pay attention to the main plot for the description, and pay attention to the subject sentence for the explanatory text or argument.

In addition, reading comprehension should be good at grasping keyword words, such as the acceptance of words and, besides, but, never, etc. In the 21st century, the society has higher requirements for teachers.
