Summary of English Teaching in the Second Semester of 2012-2013 Academic Year
One semester of English teaching is coming to an end. During this period, I have been thinking about how to improve the academic performance of the entire class, how to raise the eugenics, how to improve the poor students and so on. There are two problems in summing up and summarizing: First, the original English foundation and the habit of learning English are poor, which greatly affects the learning habits of English in the country; Second, the students caused by the gap between eugenics and underachievers The ability to accept is uneven, which has a certain degree of influence on the quality of class teaching.
Through listening to the evaluation class, we agreed that we should proceed from the actual situation of the students, follow the rules of teaching , and grasp the classroom teaching while also exerting greater efforts on the individual counseling of the students. In addition, in the teaching practice, I try to help students learn to stimulate and maintain the motivation of learning, cultivate students' self-learning ability, cultivate good study habits, and optimize classroom teaching as the main channel of education, to the greatest extent possible for students. Create a situation in which English is used to guide students to actively use language, use in school, and use middle school.
First, strengthen the use of classroom teaching communication
(1) Pre-class conversation. Each session is scheduled for a few minutes or so before the session: valuable daily reports, self-introduction, family situation, talking about the weather and familiar singers, movie stars and athletes. Let students freely talk in English, and allow students to imitate the content of the text to increase or decrease and play freely. It is also possible to make a brief retelling through the question and answer form according to the content of the text. From the single discussion content to the comprehensive content, the topics of several different contents are connected in series, which not only reviews the old knowledge, but also develops the students' curiosity. It is also important to note that when it is the turn of the poor students, encourage them to practice boldly, and give a little praise to a little bit of progress to enhance their self-confidence.
(2) Focus on language sense teaching . Strengthen listening and speaking training, strive to achieve vision, listening, and synchronization, and cultivate interest in learning. The new words, sentence patterns and articles in each lesson are good materials for reading. Pay attention to creating scenes, let students know that the accent of different sentences has different senses of language and show different language psychology. Similarly, the difference in tone and the movement of accent also reflect the different mental states of the speaker. After training, students will pay attention to the correct use of pronunciation, intonation and re-reading, weak reading and promotion in the future reading. The reading will also be vivid and interesting. The students in the classroom are interested and the learning enthusiasm is greatly improved.
(3) Dialogue use, role performance. In combination with the content of the text, each teaches a situational sentence pattern, allowing students to use the same day to learn, to the stage to perform. If you learn where did you go on vocation? In this lesson, I told the students to bring a photo of themselves to introduce the place they have been to in English. The whole classroom is a sea of joy. In a warm atmosphere, students learn and use the words and sentence patterns they learn, and improve their ability to use language communication.
(4) Use visual aids to further stimulate students' interest in learning. I make full use of modern teaching methods and teaching aids such as multimedia, pictures, graphics, physical objects, and tape recorders to vividly carry out teaching and communication activities. Using physical objects and pictures to teach words, students can better remember the meaning of words, and can use them repeatedly to review, which is more interesting and intuitive. The interest in learning English is closely related to the bits and pieces of English and the enthusiasm for learning English.
Second, pay attention to the classroom capacity, grasp the mastery of the students
On the one hand, it highlights the key points of knowledge and pays close attention to the basics. On the one hand, it is aimed at all students, paying attention to the volume, grasping the rhythm, preparing for the class, and paying attention to understanding and analyzing the specific actual situation of each student, teaching students in accordance with their aptitude, and having some defenses and reasonable arrangements. 40 minutes of teaching content and process, in the classroom, let each student participate in learning activities, students have a wide range of practice and understand the content from multiple perspectives on the same level, and carry out drills from multiple angles, that is, on the basis of mutual understanding. From the different perspectives of listening, speaking, reading and writing, when the teaching "temporal" is both a key point and a difficult point, it uses multimedia guidance from beginning to end, sets different scenarios, and teaches in the scenes. The students have learned unconsciously. Knowledge highlights the state of time and different predicate verbs, allowing students to practice understanding and use, and to doubt and explain doubts, to make students think positively, to change the past to be teacher-centered, full of state, to use modern teaching methods, image teaching Means and colored multimedia teaching methods make teaching hopeful.
Third, warm and new knowledge, pay attention to class counseling
Pay attention to recurring old knowledge in the classroom, let the students practice repeatedly, and complete the learning goals easily and smoothly. The specific method is: study - review - review again. Review, systematic, targeted, and comprehensive. Learn new words with new words or learned sentences using previously learned words. Each class has its own teaching difficulties, and each student has different learning difficulties. Therefore, tutoring on Monday and Wednesday provides counseling for each student's weak links. The international phonetic symbol is the basic knowledge of the teaching of the middle school students. The students feel that it is difficult to spell. For this problem, I put the English phonetic knowledge cartoons for a few minutes before each class. The fun and repeated review of the phonetic symbols is very effective. it is good.
Fourth, when the church is consolidated, pay attention to feedback
When teaching , we should consider how to play the main role of students. We must take the students' participation level and the gains and losses of teaching evaluation as the scale of classroom teaching success. Therefore, after the students have gone through a learning activity, let the students conduct their own inductive analysis. The teacher is mainly to encourage praise, full of enthusiasm to help students, timely processing feedback information, consolidate in the church, if time permits, can also guide students to some error-prone places, such as people change, predicate verb form changes, certain habits Inductive analysis of the similarities and differences of expression, so that students learn to have income.
5. Pay attention to cultivating self-learning ability
