Two philosophical stories

[Enjoying the fruit]

The Roman Emperor Hadrian saw an old man working hard to plant a fig tree. He asked the old man: Do you expect to be able to enjoy the fruit?

The old man replied: If I can't live to eat figs, my children will eat, maybe God will be special to me.

If you can get the special features of God and eat the fruit of this tree, the emperor said to him, then please tell me.

As time went by, the fruit trees actually produced fruit in the old age of the old man. The old man loaded a basket full of figs to see the emperor. When I saw the emperor, he explained: I am the old man who saw the fig tree that you saw. These figs are the result of my labor.

The emperor ordered him to sit on a golden chair and fill his basket with gold.

The servant of the emperor objected: Do you want to give so many honors to an old Jew?

The emperor replied: The creator gives honor to him, can I not do the same thing?

Later, the old man had a lazy neighbor. His wife listened to the story of the old man. She said to her husband: The emperor loves to eat figs, give him some figs, and he will give you gold.

When the husband listened to his wife, he took a basket full of figs to the palace and asked for gold.

The servant reported that the emperor, the emperor was furious: let this person stand at the entrance of the palace, and everyone who enters and exits can throw a fig on his face.

At dusk, the poor man was sent home, and his body was blue and swollen. I want to give you all I have! He shouted at his wife.

Don't see what other people get good things and make a red eye. The fruits of success are earned by hard work, not speculation.

Where does the sky start?

One wants to know where the sky started. He first encountered an ant:

Where did the sky start?

The ant replied:

The sky starts from the height of your shoes.

He continued to move forward and met a goat. He asked the goat:

Where did the sky start?

The goat replied:

The sky begins where the grasslands disappear.

Finally, he met a white-haired old man:

Where did the sky start?

The old man said: The sky begins at your feet.

Yes, the sky starts from your feet. To achieve the great cause, we must start from the small things at hand, take a step from the solid land, and move forward step by step, instead of expecting to omit the process and go straight to the end, skipping forward and reaching far away.

【your fate is in your own hands】

Years ago, an old man lived on a hill outside the city of Jerusalem. It is said that he can give a satisfactory answer to any question raised by anyone.

One day, two children ran to the mountain to play and saw the old man sunning in the mountains. The two wanted to fool the old man.

So they caught a donkey and asked the old man:

Is it dead or alive?

The old man said without thinking:

Child, if I say that you are alive, you will kill it. If I say it is dead, you will let go of your hand and let it run away. This awkward life and death is in your hands.

Everyone holds the seeds of failure in their hands and holds the potential for success. We have the right to choose success, and we have the right to choose mediocrity. No one or anything can force you, just how you choose.
