There is an old Zen master's story:

He was lying in bed ready to die, that day had arrived, and he announced that he would leave that night. Therefore, his disciples and friends came to his residence, and many friends who loved him came to see him from afar.

When a big disciple heard the message that Master was about to die, he immediately ran to the market. Someone said: "Master is passing away. Why are you going to the market?" The big disciple replied: "I know that Master is particularly fond of a certain kind of cake, so I am going to the market to buy this cake."

It was not easy to find such a cake, but he was finally found before the evening. He took the cake and went back to see Master.

Everyone was a little worried. It seems that Master seems to be waiting for someone. He will open his eyes and look at it. Then when the big disciple arrives, he said, "You are finally here, cake?" "The big disciple served the cake. He was very happy that Master wanted to eat this cake."

Death is coming, Master takes the cake in his hand... but his hand won’t tremble. He is very old, but his hands will not shake. Someone asked: "You are so old, and you are on the verge of death. You may swallow the last breath at any time, but your hands will not tremble?"

The master said: "I have never trembled because I have no fear, my body is old, but I am still young, even if my body is gone, I am still young."

Then he tasted a cake and began to eat it with gusto. Someone asked him: "Master, do you have any final words to tell us? You will leave us soon. Do you have anything to remember?"

Master smiled and he said, "Oh, this cake is delicious!"
