Classic inspirational story: Never give up hope

At an international psychology conference in Malaysia, I met a Russian who recommended to me the theory of positive psychotherapy he founded.
He talked about a test he had done: throwing two white rats into a container filled with water, they will struggle to survive, generally lasting about 8 minutes. Then, he put two other white rats in the same vessel. When they struggled for about 5 minutes, they put a springboard that allowed them to climb out of the vessel. The two rats survived. A few days later, putting the pair of dying rats into the same utensils, the result was really amazing: the two white rats could hold on for 24 minutes, three times the time that can be sustained under normal circumstances.
The psychologist concluded that the two former white rats, because they have no experience of escape, can only struggle to survive on their own physical strength; while the white mice with escape experience have an extra spiritual power. I believe that at some point, a springboard will save them, which allows them to last longer. This kind of spiritual strength is a positive state of mind, or it is a heart to hope for a good result.
At that time, I thought about the two white rats. I always felt that it was not a taste. I said to him with a slight resentment, œ What hopes, and finally they are not dead. To my surprise, he told me at this time: No, they are not dead. At the 24th minute, I saw that they were really not working, and they took them out.
I asked: Why do you want to do that?
He said: Because the positive mouse has valuable value, it is worth living. We humans should respect all hopes, even the hopes of the hearts of the rats.
Hope is power. In many cases, the power of hope may be stronger than the power of knowledge, because knowledge can be better utilized only in a promising context. A person, even if he has nothing, as long as he has hope, he may have everything, and even if one has everything, but does not have hope, then it may lose everything he already has.
