Harvard Beauty MBA, 30 years old met myself

Text/a crop

I have been away from Shanghai for 8 years. I don’t know how long it is. I said that I have lived in 6 different cities in 3 countries on 3 continents. I have an MBA at Harvard Business School and I also switched from a bank to a bank. High-tech, has experienced a lot of different cultures and values, and has done a lot of homework for soul searching. Dripping through the stone, when I was 30, I had a huge breakthrough: for the first time in my life, I felt that I found myself.

Before the age of 30, I never thought about "what kind of life I want." There seems to be no one around who cares about this issue. Everyone's life trajectory seems to be very logical: read a good book, work hard to get into the best university, go to the most profitable industry, work, raise salary, promote, marry, have children. Life seems to be a straight line, everyone is moving in one direction, the only goal is to fight to the front.

In the constant observation, thinking and discussion, I gradually realized that I am pursuing an integrated life style: there must be economic freedom, doing things that help achieve your purpose, a healthy body and a strong heart.

1. Economic freedom

For a long time, I have always thought that reading a good book and finding a good job, promotion and salary increase is the most important means of making a living for everyone. As long as you work hard, money will be there. Until I read Robert Kyosaki's "Full Dad, Poor Dad", I realized that this is actually the biggest misunderstanding of the global working class. Most people are unable to achieve economic freedom through promotion and salary increases. Why?

The source of your cash flow is that you keep working. If you want to take a break, or if you fall ill or are laid off, the cash flow will be broken.

Most of the value you create is taken away by the company that hired you. They will give you a raise and a bonus, but you have to pay a high tax and it is difficult to avoid tax.

I can't keep up with the flowers. I have been promoted for several years, and I have to pay a little salary a year. But our requirements for life are faster than wages. It is a big house. If you go out for a trip, you can’t squeeze the youth hostel anymore. Children have to go to school, and friends can’t birthday. Only send a card, the parents have a good meal, the salary has risen a lot, but can not catch up with the expenses.

True freedom is inseparable from economic freedom, and Robert Kyosaki defines economic freedom as your monthly passive income exceeds your monthly expenditure so you don't have to run for a living.

How to achieve economic freedom?

Kyosaki explained two ways,

Entrepreneurship: If you succeed, you can use your money and other people's time to realize your freedom.

Investment: Earn steady cash flow through securities, real estate or other capital investments. These two roads are very dangerous at first sight. Do you think that I am not as good at retirement as I am in the company?

But I want to let go of chasing my ideals. I need economic freedom to support my ideals, so I chose to invest as my means of getting rid of poverty.

2, do things to help achieve your purpose

What do you do after economic freedom? Do things!

I am referring not only to the traditional promotion and salary increase, but to the struggle for your purpose.

Every life in this world has a purpose. That's the goal you've come to in this world. When you're doing something to help you achieve your purpose, you'll feel like you're full of energy and confidence. When the things we do have little to do with our purpose, maybe we can still do very well, but that feeling is very thin. This can be your job or your ideal.

I want to know what I can do for this world. Through constant self-reflection, I gradually realized that my purpose is teaching, so opening this version is also my small test to communicate with you and learn some of my own experiences, while trying to achieve my purpose. I feel so right, I am willing to do it.

3, a healthy body

Before coming to San Francisco, I stayed in the gym for only 20 minutes. The environment is really important. After coming, I was greatly encouraged by the handsome and handsome girl who was full of street slenderness. So I asked a personal fitness instructor to help me with my fitness plan and balance my diet. I am currently 3-4 times a week, eat less and eat more meals while taking care of the intake of nutrients, while eating more organic food. Within a few months, my physical fitness has been greatly enhanced, and my health has been as strong as a fly. Although my weight has not lost much, my body is well-proportioned and my skin is much cleaner than before. The key is energetic!

I have a friend who asked me, wow, your lifestyle is not very expensive. I said, yeah, so I don't have an Omega watch and a Chanel bag. A healthy body is the most worthwhile investment for me. In my opinion, this should be the first basic cost for everyone, not nice to have.

4, a strong inner heart

With a strong heart, I think the most important thing is that you can hear the voice from your heart. Most modern people are tired of coping with all kinds of outside voices, and often lose the ability to hear their own hearts. If you can hear your inner voice and have the courage to follow the direction she pointed out to you, you will feel very powerful, because you stay true to yourself, very simple and healthy.

I haven't heard my inner voice for a long time, so I sometimes feel tired because I don't do what I really want. Later, I began to learn yoga and meditation. Gradually I heard the voice in my heart, and since then I have become more confident and happy because I have the most powerful partner in the world - myself. No matter how the future changes, I believe we will take care of each other.

30 years old, I met myself.
