Inspirational story

A little story, great wisdom, and a taste of life.

1. The art of listening

A well-known American host, Linklater, visited a child one day and asked him: "What do you want to do when you grow up?" The child answered innocently: "Well... I want to be the pilot of the plane!" Linklater Then ask: "If one day, your plane flies over the Pacific Ocean and all the engines are turned off. What do you do?" The child thought for a moment: "I will tell the person sitting on the plane to tie the seat belt first, then I Hang up my parachute and jump out." When the audience at the scene laughed and laughed, Linklater continued to look at the child and wanted to see if he was a smart guy. Unexpectedly, then the two lines of the child burst into tears, which made Lin Kleite realize that the child's compassion is far from being able to describe it. So Linklater asked him: Why do you want to do this?” The child’s answer revealed the child’s sincere thought: “I am going to get fuel, I will come back!!!”

This is the "art of listening." First, don't listen to half. Second, don't project your own meaning to what others say. Learn to listen, listen carefully, and listen with humility.

2. Dice playing lanterns

A blind person went to a relative's house to be a guest. After dark, his relatives kindly ordered a lantern for him and said, "It's late, road black, you go home with a lantern!" The blind man said with anger: "You know I am a blind man, give me a lantern to take care of the road, isn’t it to laugh at me?” His relative said: “You made a mistake of thinking. You are on the road, many people are on the road, you are playing lanterns. If others can see you, they won't hit you." The blind think, yes!

This story tells us that limited thinking is to think from your own perspective. The overall thinking is that you put yourself into the whole environment to consider. Thinking systematically, you will find that your actions will interact with others.

3. Smart boy

There was a little boy. One day, my mother took him to the grocery store to buy things. When the boss saw this lovely child, he opened a can of candy and asked the little boy to take a candy. But the boy did not have any action. After several invitations, the boss personally grabbed a large candy into his pocket. When I got home, my mother asked the little boy curiously. Why didn’t I grab the candy myself and asked the boss to catch it? The little boy answered very well: “Because my hand is small! The boss’s hand is bigger, so he must take it. A lot more than I took!"

This is a clever child, he knows his own limited, and more importantly, he also knows that others are better than himself. It is a kind of humility and a kind of intelligence to learn not only by one's own strength but also to rely on others in a timely manner.
